It is time for the Russians to stop talking to Macron: Macron is not sincere (he can not be trusted)!
Macron speaks from both sides of his mouth!

Macron. you are very right. we totally support you..this century is the century of peace, love and mutual respect, mutual cooperation, win-win attitude ..but putin is too brutal and cruel immoral…he is killing the Ukrainian people everyday..he is old but he likes war…likes killing people , likes destruction …he is setting very bad example for xing ji ping to invade Taiwan, occupy all east sea.,..kim ul becomes more brutal when he threatens South korea with nukes….putin is destroying the russian economy and the world…very bad karma for putin. he must be defeated. he must stop this brutal and stupid war now…the world loves peace and stability

Macron is a deluded hypocrite, France, Germany & Italy sold Russia weapons worth 296 million after Putin took Crimea, using a legal loophole. Germany initially refused Ukraine weapons by using details of limitations due to their history. It is not only Russia that should be humiliated. This is the worst kind of deception & hypocrisy. If Macron thinks Putin can be influenced then he should be in a hospital for the deranged,

I find European cowardice towards Putin amusing. Russia is not the problem as much as their leadership. I do not care if Russia is humiliated. They humiliated themselves when they invaded the Ukraine.

Anyone remember Hitler's Germany? Were the allies worried about humiliating Germany after Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Belgium and France? Were they worried about humiliating the Germans after the rumors of the death camps started and became evident. I think Macron has his head firmly planted in his backside. Those of you worried about "Humiliating" Russia should think about what will happen if Ukraine is taken. What if Poland and the Baltic States are defeated due to France, Germany, Italy, the US and others not taking decisive action.

Humiliation of Russia is nothing in comparison to a conqueror putting his boot on the necks of you, your friends and allies. Grow a spine or kiss Putin's ring cowards.

Brits! Stop with this nonsense translating foreigners with fake accents. You’re turning everything into a comedy show. It’s distracting, and actually xenophobic as your ridiculous imitations make foreigners sound stupid. No other country does that!

One by one all these idiots start to realise EU need Russia, not the other way.
Russia is HUGE country continent, twice and half the size of whole Europe. They have all the resources, EU have nothing. Time work in favour for the Russians. In the end Ukr will be sacrificed, nobody care for the country it's people anyways.
The Russia is what's important for them, all others are expendables

it truly is am ignorant thing to say! Hell yes, let’s humiliate Russia, today they started attacking Kiev with missiles again, why should they be allowed to think they can attack Ukraine with impunity while Moscow goes unassaulted? We should give Ukraine heavy weapons, and maybe even intervene on Ukraine’s side, we can tell Russia the same thing they told us when they intervened in Syria, “we are here at the invitation of the legitimate government of Syria”
we will be there at the invitation of the legitimate and sovereign government of Ukraine. guard the skies over Moscow!

Putin is a mad man and must be stopped for the sake of millions all over the world. One point no one addresses it the amount of oil and gas reserves recently discovered in the Crimea and Donbass region.Putin's control to do whatever he want is to take and manage the energy that Europe needs. So while many of you make comment here without looking at the big picture, need to wise up to the underlying plan for Putin's energy domination. Europe has helped Russia do what he has done, invading several countries starting in their separatist areas, all of those areas have large oil and gas reserves. Or is all this just a coincidence.

I am so disgusted by Macron's comments! We should have left France to France in WW1 and WW2, Putin is the new NaZi. Remember France that you signed the Budapest Memorandum along with the UK, USA, Ukraine and Russia! Don't weasel out of this! Russia and all these powers guaranteed to protect Ukraine's borders in return for Ukraine giving all its Nukes to Russia in 1994!

Russia deserves humiliation precisely because it has attacked their own brothers. This is beyond hyenous. I could have never imagined they would attack Ukranians with whom they have lived together for centuries. This behaviour should be humiliated.

Macron your right, talks are for talking out problems not humiliating. I planned the Bin Laden Raid with no errors, not even the copter vortex…. Understand it's important you do…. Security in USA read all of these comments via data analysis. They messed up badly. 2014-18 this war conflict started to assume ground. In 2021 Biden cuts Keystone pipe – in 2022 he sanctions Russia – Oil in short supply as is Intelligence, they failed to determine outcome in 2021 – pre Biden acting. Those wrong evaluations lead to Nuclear Wars, have no mistake over that one…… As do actions such as rubbing Putin's face in it, also look at the proxy war, being run supplying arms. Putin would have to be an idiot not to see the increasing tinder, sparking his response. The oil situation is hitting the West more than Russia, and the proxy war is strengthening Putin's resolve and weakening Zelenskyy'$ overall ability to put this matter right. Putin will now guage a response….. Such as a nuclear test to show his capacity. Time we negotiated using someone of Standing and Intellectual respect, truthful and firm, rationalizing the reality to both parties. But who, Joe is a weakling advised by analysts doubtless restrained by the goal of de-seating Putin…. ? Yes, their views are quite often corrupted. (Here's the reality – 40,000 per year shot in USA – yes! 23,000 Russians in Ukraine….. 150,000 in Afghanistan….. Work out the failure! And Putin's timing, shows he saw the messed up withdrawal from there…. he read incompetency and disinterest.

Macron is just so French, “put your hands up and surrender “ just like in WW2. It’s so lucky the UK and the USA came to save them before they all became Germans!

This war showed to the world that Russian army is nothing but a corrupt bankrupt criminal enterprise that can be easily defeated by any average army,, years of corruption and theft by Russian leaders has rotten their country and military to the core

  41. @harryhall6392

Macron "the maggot" has shown his true colours, a closet Vichy French “man". He is cosying up to exactly the same barbaric animals that slaughtered the innocents in Oradour Sur Glane. The 78th anniversary of the slaughter of women, children and old men at Oradour sur Glane is on the 10th of June and I hope those attending, who voted for Macron, bow their heads in shame. Vive La France, I don't think so Macron.

    June 1, 2024 at 12:20 am

What a horrible statement from this man. russia invaded a sovereign country and he is worrying not to humiliate russia. What an idiot.

  43. @gijbuis

    June 1, 2024 at 12:20 am

PEACE IN OUR TIME? What a shameful and stupid mistake by Macron! He would prefer for Ukraine to lose a huge amount of its territory in order to reach a settlement with Russia. Macron (and Draghi) fail to wake up to the fact that Russia would not just sit back and lick its wounds after a settlement. Russia would rearm, ramp up its military and then resume its attacks on the west. Putin is determined to ultimately create his Eurasian empire stretching from Dublin to Vladivostok. Macron's appeasement is just like Neville Chamberlain before WW2…
