Published

on

The long-awaited UN human rights report into last summer’s war in Gaza has prompted a defiant response from both sides involved.

Senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad says it gives a false impression of the situation and that Palestinian rockets and mortars were aimed at military and not civilian targets: “There are some positive points in this report, but I think that they have made a fatal mistake in that they have tried all the time to make some kind of comparison between the victims and the mur…

I presume to expect Hamas to hold their Hands, sing "We shall overcome." and walk towards the border does not go. Presumably because their most zealous believers in the Religion of peace.
But Israel should really calm down. I mean it isn't as if it was Russia which is threatened by Extermination.

The moment no more Israeli boots on the ground – Hamas took off, burning down the greenhouses and dismantling what was left of the settlements. As a direct consequence, the Gaza population voted Hamas in 2006 and the moment it got to power, kneecapping the PA officials who where left there, a campaign of relentless terror was launched against Israel.. In fact, thinking about it, what happened in Gaza in 2005-2006 should have been regarded as a warning to the US, as to what would happen if it pulled out of Iraq prematurely. But of course, nobody could see it coming back then.

Just think for a moment – in 2005 Hamas was a small and insignificant terror group while the PA ruled supreme. Gaza was a shining new city with a long sandy shore, on which many hotels stood. It was set to be a new Singapore. All it needed was to be free from foreign interference. So Israel complied, pulled out its settlers and troops and left a thriving greenhouse industry for the Gazans to utilize.

Well, this is what you get when you try to choose shame over war: All of this bloodshed wouldn't happen, if Israel hadn't left Gaza in 2005.
