For the benefit of the comments section, here's actual information on Conchita. Conchita is not trans – but is instead a drag queen persona by Thomas Neuwirth. Thomas considers himself a man, but uses female pronouns for Conchita because that's the point of a drag queen persona – when in the outfit you perform as if you are a woman. It isn't a gender identity, despite the many comments that think so.
The comments that treat this as her/his "just desserts" are harsh and homophobic, but at the same time, it's extremely important to protect oneself with proper protection, or something like this can happen. Here's hoping that the treatments in America that make HIV indetectable in the bloodstream make it to Austria, so she/he can no longer transfer it.
There is a wealth of information out in the world that have shown homophobia as morally wrong, but people don't utilize that information nor the parts of their brains that can process this information, so they spit out old "platitudes" instead of researching these things. This comments section is full of ignorant people, and it is such a shame to see that this is how a bunch of people are ready to act after seeing someone has a potentially deadly disease. However, if you are desperate to make fun of people for being ill, I suppose you should join the single person who said he'd be happy to report on a terminally ill patient of cancer's death – that being Keemstar – in the group of people who are insensitive and extremely immature.

Thing is now everyone tries to be different. So different that they are becoming kinda weird. But then I REALLY do like her(his) voice…So as far as I'm concerned I don't care about her or him being she or he…Just stay true to who you are. Not many can do that and yet they are the one to talk.
