Ungaro Show Fall 2011 Paris Fashion Week | FashionTV – FTV.com

Paris Fashion Week Fall 2011 on http://FTV.com fashiontv Ungaro

Ungaro’s Italian father fled to France from Francavilla Fontana of Brindisi province because of the fascist uprising in Italy. Ungaro’s father was a tailor and he gave his son a sewing machine when he was younger.

At the age of 22, he moved to Paris. Three years later he began designing for the House of Cristobal Balenciaga for three years before quitting to work for Courrèges. Four years later, in 1965 with the assistance of Swiss artist Sonja Knapp and Elena Bruna Fassio, Emanuel Ungaro opened his own fashion house in Paris.

Ungaro launched his first menswear collection, Ungaro Uomo, in 1973, and his first perfume, Diva, 10 years later in 1983. Later followed the perfumes Senso (1987), Ungaro (1991) and Emanuel Ungaro For Men (1991). In 1996, he formed a partnership with Salvatore Ferragamo. In 1997, Ungaro, Ferragamo and Bulgari created a new company: Emanuel Ungaro Parfums. The new perfumes to follow was Fleur de Diva (1997), Desnuda (2001) and Apparition (2004).

In 2005, Ungaro retired and sold the label to internet entrepreneur Asim Abdullah for $84 million.

After the sale, the label was languished with a revolving door of designers, the last of which, Esteban Cortazar, who was appointed in 2007, was fired two years later after his refusal to work with actress Lindsay Lohan. Subsequently, Lohan was appointed Artistic Director, working with new head designer Estrella Archs, who was hired hastily to replace Cortazar. The introduction of Lohan, which was meant to give the label publicity, was received with shock and dismay in Paris Fashion Week 2009.In 2010, during Paris Fashion Week, Lindsay Lohan announced that she was no longer working for or with Ungaro, and that she could not comment on the matter because of legal issues.

In 2009, the label had sales of about $200 million from fragrance and less-expensive lines sold in Asia, but the runway collection has been losing money for years. In April 2010, it was announced that Archs had been dismissed and British designer Giles Deacon would be taking over as creative director.

Less Noise, More Prada: Men’s S/S 2027 | Milan Men Fashion Week

Published

on

Step onto the hyper-bright, transparent runway of Fondazione Prada, where Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons stage a radical rebellion against useless design!

Titled “Clarity,” the spring/summer 2027 menswear collection strips away the noise to deliver an ultra-precise, razor-sharp silhouette. Models walked a transparent runway illuminated by industrial LED lights, putting the construction of the garments on literal display.

Backstage, Simons compared the minimal framework to a perfect pasta al pomodoro – relying on a few masterfully executed ingredients. The collection aggressively revived the ultra-skinny, body-skimming lines of the 1990s, challenging years of oversized streetwear.

The runway opened with clean, uniform denim before shattering the monochrome order with bursts of fuchsia, neon yellow, and scarlet leather. Translucent jackets exposed interior skeleton seams, while small bags were demoted to hips, hanging from utility waistbelts via carabiners.

The house’s signature subversion appeared in optical eyewear featuring completely mismatched, fused frames. This clinical aesthetic was mirrored by a massive pop-cultural presence in the front row. K-pop icons Enhypen and Jaehyun, alongside global artists Troye Sivan, Saint Levant, and actor Louis Partridge, gathered to witness this historical shift back to a sleek silhouette.

Stripping away the excess, Prada Men S/S 2027 redefines modern luxury through strict restraint. Click below to explore the pristine visual architecture of the full showcase now.

Cia Maritima Bikini Show 2 ft Caroline Francischini – Sao Paulo FW Summer 2012 | FashionTV – FTV.com

Published

on

http://youtube.com/FashionTV SAO PAULO – Past Cia Maritima shows have often showcased wild animal prints, so why should the brand’s showing at Sao Paulo Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 be any different, save for the even sexier and bolder getups which include python print cut out one pieces that might as well have been bikinis. Vibrants prints were in abundance at this collection, as were vibrant colors like orange, yellow, green, and pink. Cia Maritima was also heavy on the geometric prints and shapes. Bikinis were tiny as we’re used to from Brazilian swimwear labels, but the beautiful handpainted designs were big in taking our breath away.

Steven Passaro: Emotional Architecture for S/S 27 | Paris Men Fashion Week

Published

on

Experience the fluid choreography and structural romance of Steven Passaro’s complete A Glimpse S/S 27 collection by watching it now on FTV!

Unveiled on June 26, 2026, as a highlight of Paris Men’s Fashion Week, French designer Steven Passaro presented “S/S 27 – A Glimpse,” a collection that beautifully bridges the gap between protective armor and poetic fluidity. Known for his use of 3D digital craftsmanship to honor bespoke tailoring, Passaro turned his lens inward this season to create an intimate sanctuary for body, mind, and soul.

The collection is a breathtaking study in structural tension and contemporary romance, where traditional, rigid menswear codes completely surrendered to movement.

Passaro’s signature high-rising tailored lapels reached gracefully upward, while jackets and trousers loosened their hold to create fluid constructions that appeared in motion even at rest. The runway unfolded as a cinematic choreography of layering and accumulation, pairing sleek, structured fabrics with soft, flowing textiles.

In an exquisite textural dialogue styled by Pauline Grosjean, heavy matte leathers collided with supple, fluid viscose, letting the light filter delicately between the shifting layers.

To immerse yourself in the boundary-pushing realms of contemporary romanticism and stream exclusive front-row perspectives from Paris, make FashionTV your digital home for avant-garde luxury.
