So what your suggesting is that demands for energy handed to British energy consumers are in fact blackmailers notes and criminal demands for money and not in fact bills and the UK energy firms are willingly forwarding to the British public the ransom demands and threats as well facilitating the blackmailers crime?… and also theyre taking the stolen money…So British Gas Scottish Power EON EDF and SSE are all implied aswell are willing and active participants in this crime?…That is they know the crime of robbery theft and extortion is taking place and theyre not hesitant about it but actually involved in it…Lets face it that it would be perfectly fair for people to refuse payment for energy and perfectly reasonable that the law should be involved…So why? isnt this happening and is it because even the government's assisting the crime as its British energy firms that are taking the British peoples money and not in reality an foreign adversary…I hope you agree but it doesnt seem in the absence of any proposed legal action or government intervention that allows the despicable crime of theft to take place as though any foreign adversary is profiting from this does it?

Europe: we are in solidarity with Ukraine, we should not buy oil and gas from Russia
US: we should ban Russia oil and gas imports
Zelensky: the World should do more to sanction Russia energy
Russia: ok we stop selling gas to you

@hellmalm
February 24, 2024 at 3:56 pm
Natural Gas need to be phased out as soon as possible, we’re feeding the dragon (russia) and armageddon (climate change) at the same time, double fail! We need heavy investments into solar, wind and wave power (non plannable renewables) as well as more nuclear power (7th gen) alongside geothermal power (if we’d put the same money as in old oil subsidies it could be a real solution) and hydroelectric power (if possible). An energy Independant EU could be possible.

Some facts you might've missed. 1. Russia was providing gas for Europe and especially Germany during the entirety of the Cold War. 2. Poland andUkraine were getting transit fees (in the form of gas worth billions) for allowing Russian gas through their territory, and it was them that were pushing for even more free stuff (on the German tab), and neither Russia nor Germany were excited about this prospect.

Russia has a right to sell as much and to whom it wants.

Knock Knock….the big giant of the west was correct again. The U.S warned Europe, but they waved it off as U.S trying to push its agenda on them. Now they are doing it again with a China trade deal even as U.S is pulling away from China. EU should learn, you aren't a superpower when you can easily be blackmailed and have no way of fighting back. Putin and Xi only care about the EU because it hurts the U.S. They are too prideful to admit that. Xi and Putin do not care about Europe past what it can control to stifle U.S interests.

2. Russia helping Europe in need if they agree to the deal means that Russia would send more than usual gas as a good will gesture, not that they have sent less than usual on purpose.
