Dior: Mythic Threads & Ancient Sovereignty for F/W 26-27 | Paris Couture Fashion Week
Admire a breathtaking revival of classical form and modern empowerment – watch the Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2026/27 Haute Couture showcase now on FashionTV!
Under the roof of a leafy hothouse constructed in the historic gardens of the Musee Rodin, Jonathan Anderson delivered his highly anticipated sophomore haute couture collection for Christian Dior on July 6, 2026. Stepping firmly into the spotlight following Maria Grazia Chiuri’s historic tenure, Anderson has established a radical new creative direction for the house – one that directly treats the discipline of haute couture as an artistic laboratory.
For the fall/winter 2026/27 season, Anderson staged an ambitious, visceral dialogue between fine art and fashion, taking the pioneering, fluid sculptures of American feminist artist Lynda Benglis as his ultimate creative catalyst. The runway, finished in a sleek, reflective black lacquer, was surrounded by dense green foliage, ferns, and exotic plantings meant to evoke Benglis’s personal gardens in New Mexico and India.
This natural, slightly untamed setting served as the perfect framework for a collection centered around the concept of “material in motion.” The ultimate litmus test for any designer entering the gates of 30 Avenue Montaigne is the reinvention of the iconic 1947 Bar Suit. Anderson’s brilliant solution was essentially to melt it down – stripping away the rigid internal padding and stiff corseting of old, and replacing them with sensuously draped, bias-cut shapes, fluid silk pajama-style sets, and featherweight knitted jackets that gave the female form absolute freedom of movement.
The 66 looks beautifully mirrored Benglis’s famous practice of converting two-dimensional materials into voluptuous, three-dimensional forms. Anderson toyed masterfully with the illusion of rigor and the poetry of fluid drapery. In a direct nod to the artist’s legendary use of chicken wire to mold heavy, poured materials, the Dior ateliers produced voluminous, jaw-dropping skirts constructed from silver metallic netting and crushed-foil-pleated silks that danced under the studio lights like liquid metal.

MATIERES FECALES: From Decayed Couture to Louboutin Heels | Paris Fashion Week
Matieres Fecales
spring/summer 2027
ready-to-wear collection
Paris Fashion Week
#MatieresFecales #PFW #SS27
Experience a historic moment of radical diversity and raw couture at Matieres Fecales’ spring/summer 2027 show on FashionTV!
For S/S 2027, designer Steven Raj Bhaskaran and life partner Hannah Rose delivered a historic, deeply personal manifesto with Matieres Fecales: “”The Ninety Nine Percent.””
Staged at Paris’s iconic Place de la Republique – marking the first fashion show in history at this sacred monument of revolution and free speech – the collection featured 99 looks worn exclusively by 99 models of color.
Divided into three chapters (Family, Tribe, and Gods), the runway opened with pure white draped silhouettes honoring Bhaskaran’s mother, Grace, and his multi-faith upbringing, before evolving into modular, cloud-like tulle blazers paired with Louboutin collaboration flip-flop heels.
The Tribe section stormed the square in military tweed, decaying leather capes, and punk metal hardware alongside the brand’s new “”Stomper”” boots and “”Golden Touch”” gloves.
The showcase culminated in the Gods section, with hand-woven Burkina Faso cotton suits and Indian Varanasi embroidered sarees transformed into decayed 1950s ballgowns, and closed with models carrying life-sized billionaire figures on their backs as Nina Simone’s voice echoed across Paris.

Valentino Couture Fall/Winter 2012/13 | Paris Couture Fashion Week | FashionTV
SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/FashionTVSUB
http://www.FashionTV.com/videos PARIS – While many might have thought they were seeing the same signature Valentino style created by designer duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, albeit in navy blue, yellow, and pink, it was an edgier Valentino couture, which just a hint of the signature looks from runways past that we’ve come to know from these two designers. Ironically, we thought the dark wave passed last season with ready-to-wear Fall 2012 but the duo brought it back this time around for couture, with a collection that was “sensual but severe” as Maria Grazia Chiuri herself put it. Gone were reds, replaced with navy blues that were luxe but still romantic in the typical Valentino style (Note: the reds were there but only later on). As was the floral chiffon later on in the show that seemed to be designed with a regal hand. For the first time, they harped on brocade but they pushed it in yellow. The elegant, modest Valentino of seasons past is still with a deep and dramatic spin that leaves us wanting more.
Appearances: Frida Gustavsson, Nimue Smit, Kati Nescher, Mackenzie Drazan, Julia Nobis, Daga Ziober, Mirte Maas, Monika “Jac” Jagaciak, Maud Welzen, Fei Fei Sun, Kasia Struss, Sigrid Agren, Cora Emmanuel, Ruby Aldridge, Ginta Lapina, Josephine Skriver, Zuzanna Bijoch, Antonia Wesseloh, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Sarah Blomqvist, Kinga Rajzak, Bette Franke, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Pier Paolo Piccioli
