Filmmaker unrepentant over fake ‘Syrian hero boy’ video
It has been seen by millions on the Internet.
But a video purportedly showing a young Syrian boy risking his life to save a terrified girl from gunfire is in fact a fake.
Although the heart-rending images on the ‘Syrian hero boy’ film misled so many on YouTube, the Norwegian director behind the video is unrepentant.
Lars Klevberg said he wanted to shed light on the horrors facing children caught up in war, stressing that the boy’s rescue of the girl, braving a hail of bullets, signals hope.

Millions of YouTube viewers have been captivated by the 'Syrian hero boy' who manages to rescue a little girl while under gunfire. Now a group of Norwegian filmmakers have told BBC Trending they are behind it. They say it was filmed on location in Malta this summer with the intention of being presented as real.

This is total crap, if the MSM had really bothered to do real reporting and to show what is going on in Syria, they could have easily found real stories… Just the other day on U-tube while reporting on the conflicts in Middle East I found over a dozen real life children ravaged by war. The world must wake up and stop the slaughter. One poor little kid literally had his jaw blown off and was still conscious. How can any of YOu tell Me YOu still have a conscience yet do nothing?
