Botanical prints in palm emeralds, ocean blues, and volcanic terracottas took center stage alongside high-cut trikinis, architectural cut-out monokinis, and asymmetrical silhouettes engineered for active, sun-drenched living.

Rooted in slow fashion, every piece was crafted from recycled ocean polyester, paired with sheer organza dusters and beach-to-street cover-ups that seamlessly transition from ocean waves to sunset galas.

Stripping away fleeting ornamentations, the presentation championed restrained minimalism with clean silhouettes, precise architectural cuts, and a calming palette of earthy terracottas, muted sage, and solid oceanic hues. Key collection highlights included asymmetrical one-shoulder monokinis, high-waisted briefs with fluid gathering, and sweeping linen dusters designed to transition seamlessly from sunlit coves to late-afternoon lounging.

Tactile matte finishes and soft ribbed textures added depth without compromising the streamlined aesthetic. Each piece – from sculptural one-pieces to technical basics – was crafted locally in the Canary Islands using 100% recycled ECONYL® yarn and organic sea-cell blends, pairing high performance with zero-waste tailoring.

Explore the enchanting S/S 27 collection of Anna Sui and discover the reimagined 1995 Swarovski archival dress on FashionTV!

Anna Sui invites us into a dreamlike world driven by curiosity and unexpected discovery. Inspired by a chance encounter with Howard Gardiner Cushing’s paintings in a 1970s issue of Vogue, Sui builds a collection rooted in “Wonderment” – the sudden moment of enlightenment when a new visual world opens before you.

The collection translates that feeling of enchantment through rich, eclectic layering and intricate textures. Boudoir nostalgia meets grunge glamour as romantic lilac and black fairytale prints, Beardsley-esque florals, and Poiret stripes mingle with chartreuse crushed velvet, ombre plaids, and cabochon-bejeweled denim.

Key pieces like mother-of-pearl paillette tops, rosebud lace capris, and Fortuny-inspired crushed satin separates reflect a wardrobe built through accumulation, contrast, and endless imagination. A central highlight of the show was a special collaboration with Swarovski.

Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert partnered with Sui to reimagine an iconic archival halter dress from the landmark Spring 1995 “Retro” collection (originally worn by Trish Goff and Kate Moss).

Recreated with Swarovski crystal components, the legendary piece returned to the runway for S/S 27 worn by model Scarlett White, bridging 30 years of New York fashion history.

The fantasy extended to the show’s artisanal accessories: fairy-like crystal eyewear by Mondottica, floral-sculpted Olah hair scrunchies, Arts & Crafts abalone jewelry by Erickson Beamon, and rosette-adorned boudoir slippers crafted by John Fluevog Shoes.
