For spring/summer 2027, Mithridate Creative Director Daniel Fletcher turns his gaze to 1980s London and the subversive spirit of the New Romantics. Debuting steps away from the iconic Blitz Club site, the collection, titled “Fade to Grey,” channels an era defined by unabashed self-expression, androgyny, and theatrical flair, reinterpreting it through a distinctly contemporary, nonchalant lens.

The runway presented a masterclass in contrasting proportions and eclectic styling, pairing broad-shouldered jackets with shrunken knits, micro shorts with billowing trench coats, and low-slung briefs with fringe-scarf ties. Military garb from Victorian and Edwardian uniforms met dancefloor escapism through feather-covered bodices, bubble-hem party dresses, tulle-trimmed gowns, and Noel Stewart bicorn hats.

Anchored by clash-heavy colorways – hot pink against scarlet, cornflower blue with emerald green – and finished with flat footwear and sneaker-inspired kitten heels, Fletcher delivers a bold invitation to embrace individuality and defy convention.

Hong Kong-born, London-based designer Chan Kai Lap Dean presented “Faded Glory,” the S/S 2027 womenswear collection for his namesake label Dean Lap Chan, during London Fashion Week. The collection highlights Chan’s signature Loosing-Embroidery technique alongside faded stripes in dynamic color combinations, reflecting how memories soften and evolve.
