Presented at Spazio LineaPelle during Milan Fashion Week, Florania’s S/S 2027 collection, “Surfacing”, explores the tension between humanity, nature, and modern dystopia.

Drawing from “eco-Gothic” literature and the image of a storm-tossed Italian lake, founder Flora Rabitti channels the romantic sublime – nature in all its majesty and terror – into experimental, tactile garments that act as new skins. In partnership with LineaPelle Designers Edition and featuring a footwear collaboration with Crocs, the collection translates geological and botanical erosion directly onto textiles.

Airbrushed leathers mimic weathered crusts and sediments, while open-structure knitwear and frayed silks resemble stranded seaweed, ropes, and sea foam. A mineral palette of bone, ash grey, anthracite, and midnight blue is disrupted only by cochineal coral—offering an optimistic, provocative statement on how the clothes we wear can project vital social dialogue faster than words.

The collection submerges the runway in oceanic movement and palette, shifting from seafoam, sage, and deep blue to warm coral, blush, and rich chocolate. Signature Savile Row-inspired tailoring is renewed via soft RWS-certified wool jackets with dropped lapels, while weightless GOTS-certified cotton organza trenches and evening dresses bring an airy, translucent grace.

Sportswear codes clash effortlessly with high fashion, pairing sharp, second-skin leggings with boxy technical outerwear and voluminous trousers. Eveningwear shines with hand-pleated forest-friendly viscose, rippling lace hems, and ombre sequin cascades. From airbrushed dolphin tees and oyster-inspired crinoline knits to transparent Falabella bags made from recycled PET and TPU, summer 2027 delivers an uncompromising message: true beauty is born from compassion.

A legendary runway cast brought it to life: fashion powerhouses Amber Valletta, Karlie Kloss, Miranda Kerr, and Vivienne Rohner anchored the runway, lending their timeless presence to Stella’s urgent message of ocean conservation.
