Maybe let them go into the effing wild where they belong so they can leave certain areas when it gets too cold, rainy or dark at free will! Ever thought of that! They aren’t objects, having their freedom stolen from them and placed behind glass in a shoe box wandering around. These are gigantic animals that are meant to explore the wilderness! Their bodies are designed for running, hanging, leaping, swinging from veins to veins to branches to trees for hours on end. Not in a glass box having random creeps stare at them for hours on end. There’s so much psychological trauma that they go through because of that alone. Where is the empathy and compassion? We seriously need to stop supporting this. Not too long ago there were human zoos that are now outlawed. If we can rationalize their atrocity of that for humans we can extend the same courtesy to animals. It’s a painful prison cell for sentient beings but a lucrative business for immoral senseless individuals who don’t care about the animal’s rights or well being. It’s a pointless torture chamber that we have the power to change. Do the right thing.
