Face recognition is not good at all at detecting faces in public. A recent research showed that in very well controlled environment only 20% of the faces were successfully detected in relative close distance with good lighting.

The issue is not with AI itself but any kind of corruption done by those in the program's hierarchy at the top. Life or death is 1st a real person's decision (whether for self or another, consentual or not, known or not) before the computer executes it. Even if autonomous, that would still mean something was programmed for it to allow or perform in a certain manner. But the problem of corruption hidden at the higher levels is something the computer AI, Super or Quantum – can't get around. It's NOT controlled now due to ignorance of the issue. So could those in authority ever be trusted or kept from making nefarious decisions, controlled without a problem? Would it work if there was complete transparency of everything & everybody? Doubt it. Know blind trust doesn't work either. All of us better start thinking fast, the hour is upon us.

"AI may be life or death" = FALSE DICHOTOMY FALLACY

The Self-Contradiction Fallacy: A self-contradiction fallacy is a statement from which no coherent conclusion can be drawn because the statement seems to contradict itself.

    FALSE DILEMMA

Regulate….that is all they can do?

Patronizing, oppressive bureaucracy is another reason for the British exit from the EU.
Entrepreneurship and progress = NO REGULATION

In unethical, evil hands it will be evil towards a few compared to the many. Many still have to work and run businesses so they’ll be left alone.
