   What an incredible athlete Seb Coe was, and he's a serious contender for the greatest middle-distance runner in history. What Coe achieved on the track, and what he achieved off it by playing such a big part in getting London the 2012 Olympics, he deserves the utmost respect and admiration. How lucky we were in Britain to have both Seb and Steve Ovett as the greatest middle-distance runners of the era, and shortly to be joined by Steve Cram – yet another multiple world record breaker.

   The Spainard played rough & should have been disqualified.

   Pretty relaxed officiating as several of those athletes should've been disqualified during the course of that race for unnecessary pushing, running on the inside and running out of their lane on the first lap before the breaking point.

   Coe lived just around the corner from me in Fulham I used to run beside him when I was, around 13 years old when he ran past my house regularly. What an amazing athlete he was.

    Mmmmmm REMEMBER WATCHING THIS BACK IN 1977 MARCH AND THINKING " THIS GUY IS GONNA CAUSE THE NEW WORLD CHAMP (OVETT) TROUBLE…WOW HE JUST MISSED THE WORLD RECORD….which was owned by carlo group of ITALY!!!!!!1:46,4!!!! Then coe got very VERY BADLY injured and was out of competition until end of JULY….FUKKIN HELL….PUT HIS FOOT DOWN A MANHOLE …SEBS FOOT DWELLING ON SWELLING!!!!!! ⁰ …Coe came right back with an outdoor AN OUTDOOR PERSONAL BEST. SMASHED THE UK RECORD FOR 800 METRES AND HAS HELD IT SINCE 9th September 1977 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO THE FUCK IS GONNA RELIEVE COE OF HIS UK 800M RECORD OF 1:41"73 £££ BILLION DOLLAR QUESTION??? WHICH WAS A WORLD RECORD FROM 1981TO 1997 !!!!!!!!DAMN 80.S WAS SOOOOOOO MAGNIFICENTLY SUCCESSFULLY…MAGICALLY …… OVETT /COE /CRAM/ ELLIOTT?!!!!!!!!!!
