After more than a year since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian ruble appears to be in decline. In this video, we take a look at how the waning impact of Putin’s monetary policies, global hydrocarbon prices, and the aftermath of Wagner’s attempted coup all contributed to the ruble’s 15-month low, as well as how this could affect Russian military funding on the battlefield.

1:57 – "The economy shrunk by over 2%". No, the economy shrank by over 2%. It *has shrunk*. I would have thought that a command of basic English would be a prerequisite for journalists.

I think we are too obsessed about the economy crashing. In the right sense, the economy never crashes. It just undergoes cycles, and almost always recovers. So I really don't care what the predictions are. I just want to grow my portfolio. I read that people are pulling in massive profits despite the downturn. Any tips on how they do it?

It was just a matter of time that includes Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Russia can never win, to subjugate the entire people of Ukraine is simply impossible. Russia has developed it's worst enemy on it's door step. Well done, Putin, for being the absolute last Cazr and about time. Putin is an idiot.

This is not a decline but an outright collapse of the Russian Ruble. This will be subjected to visual confirmation duly noted.

It's an absolute bloat this video the Russian Ruble actually even grew up towards the euro towards the US dollar is all the same as before the war as of now just checked everything one euro couple years ago was 75 rubles of Russia right now when euro is 55 so you tell me that actually the Russian ruble failing? It's a lie and propaganda those sanctions are not being placed wisely something should be done more how about the stores in Lithuania of Russian brands? Why are they still in capital why Russians are able to buy Russian Goods in those in the known supermarkets in the capital are still there so what kind of a sanctions are we talking about

The Ruble was maintained artificially high by the Russian Government spending currency reserves to prop up the currency. The Russian economy did better than expected with the help of third party countries purchasing products and materials then selling onwards to Russia.
