MEP defends Spain over Ceuta crisis: “It’s a particular situation”
Is the Spanish government responding too little, too late to the Ceuta crisis?
“No, no, I can’t agree. It’s a particular situation,” MEP Juan Fernando López Aguilar tells #EuropeToday as 5,000 of the 80,000 migrants who crossed into Ceuta illegally last month remain in Spain.

The Spanish electorate this time has voted for moderation and centre of the spectrum politics, away from the extremes. You can see that Vox, from the far right has lost votes in favour of the center-right party Partido Popular. Podemos-turned-Sumar, the leftish equivalent, likewise transferring some votes to PSOE, th ruling party. On the other hand, the nationalist/separatists parties have lost ground, notably in Catalonia, benefitting PSOE in this case.
People don't want any dangerous adventures at a time when Spain, Europe and the World are a crucial, uncertain, dangerous state, Europe has weakened economically/politically, geopolitics are changing rapidly, and challenges of all sorts mounting. Something quite absent from the political debate during the campaign by the way.
People, more than ever, want to solve their real problems, the ever-increasing daily worries, like the cost of living due to inflation, housing, salaries and better working conditions, drought and climate-driven conditions, health, security, etc.
In this context, the acrimonious and bitter recriminations between the 2 main parties is out of place where the main tactic was to attack their opponent. It may serve their political egos and it may reflect that their main care is about gaining votes but it doesn't serve the citizens. It is artificially created and used to divert attention from the main issues. The TV debates were very disappointed (the moderators were a joke) and instead of discussing the real issues in an orderly and civic manner, they embarked on mutual disqualifications.
In my opinion, for the good of Spain, the two main parties should bury the (ridiculous) hatchet , think less about themselves and agree to a consensus and (why not?) form an agreed government to serve their own tired citizens. And, by doing that, restore some faith in politics. It is not about them after all.

Europe is under attack , Politicians must work together, instead they are bickering daily for the Media TV cameras controlled by the same Neocon Oligarchs that provoked and profit from the Manufactured Ukraine – Russia War. In the south Oil Sheiks finance Smugglers to insert hundreds of thousands of sunni men of military age, 18 to 55, and every beach resort has a fire next door to make sure the "sacrilege infidel women in bikini " are sent home , and in the North the never ending War Profiteers are bankrupting Europe , while the streets of Kiev are flush with cash from EU & US Taxpayers, and Hannity on Fox News TV tells America that Europe does not pay for the War. " America wants the War with Russia : RFK, Jr. ", Fox News , here in YouTube. If all that does not demand Unity , what does ?

Spanish politicians should learn something from the Scandinavian parliaments, e.g. the Danish Parliament, how politicians pragmatically form government either as a single minority party government or in a coalition of parties who do not have a majority against them. During this period, however, Denmark has a majority government consisting of a coalition of parties around the middle: the Social Democrats, the Moderates (new party – formed by former Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, also formerly leader of Denmark's Liberal Party) and Denmark's Liberal Party (colloquially "Left" – but is a liberal right-wing party). They agreed on a government program and the traditional disagreement between liberals and socialists – has been put on the shelf in order to carry out reforms which are necessary for Denmark – a member of NATO and the EU, but not in the EMU's third phase: the EURO. Denmark's currency is Danish kroner: DKK (1 EUR = approx. 7.50 DKK). Denmark's creditworthiness/credibility is very high and we say that the Danish krone is strong, even though Denmark has "a small open economy". There is full employment – but also a shortage of labour, particularly highly specialized, where there is great demand. Personal taxation is high in Denmark, which, however, has one of the world's best welfare systems (e.g., free education including first higher education, free doctor's consultation and hospital treatment, in addition to social security, which can ensure accommodation, food and clothing). Foreigners are welcome as long as they immediately want and can take a job, as well as want (and can) respect the "special" Danish culture and the Danish values, especially openness and freedom in a democratic legal and welfare society, which is not least based on far-reaching social network in democratically led associations about one or more common legal interests (ideal/NGO, professions, political, sports), which are absolutely decisive for the smooth functioning of Danish society.
