The Eurozone has been struggling with high inflation, low growth, and recessions across multiple countries, while the US economy appears to be thriving with strong growth and relatively low inflation. But why is Europe growing slower than America, and is Europe truly falling behind?

The EU adopted Corporate Socialism. The bureaucrats
are piling up debt to pay lavish salaries and support a welfare state that is being crushed by open borders. I will be watching from Switzerland how this plays out.
    Good luck and good bye!

Part could be that USA realize some of the problems before EU.

  8. @osennyfoxtrot

Putin did not stop supplies to Europe. It was the Americans who forced Europe to impose sanctions and then blew up the pipeline. Deliveries continue through unexploded pipelines through which Europe agrees to purchase gas.

Same with food and fertilizers (which is more important).

The U.S. economy relies on ongoing credit and debt generation for sustenance. The Federal Reserve is expected to increase the money supply, leading to further debt accumulation for the average American. Meanwhile, foreign nations continue to desire the U.S. dollar, despite their own economies facing significant challenges, some even worse than that of the U.S. This situation raises concerns about who will ultimately bear the consequences of these economic dynamics.

Let me Explain something, the USA became a Stupid money Printer under Bidon, Printing endless amount of money is War tactic used only if necessary, using it at a time of peace is a disaster, for once a war comes (and it always comes) the country becomes to much in dept to to use it again.

Honestly I am completely lost. I went on vacation to the US and everything was twice if not three times as expensive as it is in Europe. I am able to buy three times more food than in the US. Still the EURO and Dollar are neck on neck . I really dont understand how this is possible ?

  22. @therealchristian1

    February 15, 2024 at 2:43 am

I mean, was there ever a question if the US would economically outpace Europe? That's kinda just… what always happens,

  23. @Forodir

    February 15, 2024 at 2:43 am

USA is by far not outperforming if the EU and its nation is a safer and healthier place than the USA. That fixation on GDP is so pointless and outdated for the measuring of an economic Power.

  24. @BF3spxd

    February 15, 2024 at 2:43 am

twice of almost no growth is still almost no growth. The graphs here are very confusing:
    – You show the US growth getting decimated every year, staying at 1.5% for 2023, and you say it's really good
    – You show the EU growth, but with a large scale so it's impossible to discern what the number is on the last quarters, but you do say 1.2%. So what is issue?

I'm probably misinterpreting and I'm completely sure you have no reason to be confusing on purpose, but please fix it for next time so it's clearer

  25. @aleksandrkobelev8868

    February 15, 2024 at 2:43 am

Putin did not cut of the gas. Europe decide that Russian cheap gas is not democratic and start buying expensive USA gas. But of course it can't be a reason

  26. @Dennan

    February 15, 2024 at 2:43 am

well one reason is probly couse america dont have a war on thier doorstep.

  27. @constantinosbou

    February 15, 2024 at 2:43 am

I don't trust you man, Greece had 2.7% economic growth last year. Poland is becoming a big Power, also with big economic growth.

  28. @dvgilg

    February 15, 2024 at 2:43 am

Imagine the US did not have a federal budget. That is what the EU is and it creates a massive investment gap, because countries individually cannot compensate the lack of a central fiscal capacity (no monetary sovereignty does you that).
