According to Russian officials including Putin himself, so far this year the Russian army has received 300k volunteer recruits. So it does not seem like Russia necessarily needs another mobilization of reservists.

Russia has changed its child labor law so the children can start making military uniforms. Also they have already conscripted seasonal workers and force them to sign up for the front

He needs to synergise and modernise quality in strategy, tactics and battle/operational procedures. He has to use his existing arsenal more efficiently and lethally. Quantity does not matter anymore. He has to train and act conventionally and not through irregular special operations. He has to improve lethality matricing in combat.

Nah, there is a non-stop mobilization in Ukraine, people are just being grabbed on the streets of Odessa and sent to the front without any training, but the Western flora is interested in the 2nd wave of mobilization in Russia that has NOT EVEN BEGUN. And even if it does, it will immediately lead to the collapse of the economy. Funny.

The limiting factor in this war has always been materiel. Putin can mobilize thousands or a million, but it won't change the long term outcome. Soldiers can't do much without equipment.

The problem now with this war is neither side will concede with the only results going to be a bad one as if the west givens then Russia will take more and this will encourage china to do the same.

    18-27, then 18-30.

Guess how long it will be until 18-35, sooner than you think as many young 28-29-30 year olds have left Russia.

Other than budget, there isnt really any reason for NATO to give up support, a weaker russian military and economy is a net positive twards reducing global conflict and confidence in those who may wish to align with Russia instead of the free world.

If Putin thinks the United States is going to just “lose interest” and stop helping Ukraine he’s delusional… we fight 20 year unpopular wars with our own soldiers against a population that doesn’t even want us there…. think we aren’t prepared to help a population that actually wants our help in a war against a regime we view is a major threat to world stability for decades..????

Like just find an off ramp and take it my guy… cause even if Putin’s troops manage to achieve a breakthrough and occupy more large portions of Ukraine, we are just gonna support a guerrilla resistance until full liberation… so just stop ok 🤷🏽‍♂️

At some point I still do believe the Russian populace will say 'enough' and start resisting violently. If they start to think death is coming regardless, they're gonna go out fighting back.

Ukraine should be worried. But so dhould west. Russia right now are building factories, hiring manpower, producing weapons at an alarming rate. if West does not replicate, Russia will soon have very large amounts of standing armies and might try their hands at fighting west after it is done with Ukraine or fail in Ukraine.

  39. @itt2055

    February 18, 2024 at 5:55 am

The mobilisation of Russian conscripts has never stopped. As the Russian military is having major supply problems, Russian conscripts are forced to buy their own uniforms, food, water, medical supplies and ammunition. Yes, Russia is making its own conscripts pay for ammunition. The Russian military is also shooting anyone who refuses to advance or retreat from battle regardless of how bad their situation is. Currently, around 80% of Russian troops are conscripts who have had no military training.

Most likely. Everyone from the first mobilization is KIA, MIA, wounded or captured.

  43. @Emanon...

    February 18, 2024 at 5:55 am

Without the backbone of competent non-commisioned officers, the Russian army can throw as many conscripts into the war as they want. They won't be an effective fighting force.
