The EU’s Eastern Partnership is a collection of 6 countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus*, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) and is an attempt from the EU to bolster support within the region and also (allegedly) protect them from the influences of Russia. So in this video, we’re going to explain how the partnership works, what it means for the countries involved, and whether it’s really successful.

A few people are commenting on the animation decisions re: Ukraine and Crimea. The decision to leave Crimea out of the map was an attempt to avoid politicizing the issue in a video that nominally isn't about that border. However, doing so isn't us saying that Crimea doesn't belong to Ukraine or does belong to Russia. In fact, as you can see in the thumbnail we've marked it as Ukrainian territory when compared to Russia – Jack

Until 2014, Russia was the main trading partner for Ukraine. After NATO occupied Ukraine, NATO, through puppets in Kiev, severed trade relations with Russia and destroyed Ukrainian industry. The EU has introduced quotas for goods from Ukraine and these quotas will end by the middle of the year.

I would really appreciate a response thank you

There are too many homeless people in Western countries, but no one loves them. People just leave them to live hard. The love of Western countries is pouring into Ukraine, where the neo-fascist movement is being attacked and destroyed by Russia.

When we hear Western countries express their love for Ukraine, we doubt whether this is political morality at the very high level of human civilization, or the hypocritical hypocrisy of political games. It is unknown that whether Western countries give weapons to for Ukraine to defend themselves or let Ukraine fight Russia for them. Are Ukrainians dying in self-defense or for the political games of the West?

  8. @nhatho6186

    February 21, 2024 at 2:59 am

Inciting people to fight is a manifestation of a bloodthirsty belligerent guy. In the name of defending Ukraine, but in fact, the US and UK are on the right track of inciting people to fight until both of them to die. Using words of instigation, pumping weapons evenly, keeping the war in Ukraine as long as possible, that is the plan of the US. Russia attacked Ukraine to prevent the threat of World War III from neo-Nazi trends, but Russia does not have an aggressive attitude like the way the US is trying to fight against Russia radically and comprehensively.

  9. @nhatho6186

    February 21, 2024 at 2:59 am

Why does conflict persist? Because the West does not like to cooperate with Russia, they only wants to make Russia become weakening and be separated into many pieces by all means. Fighting against Russia gives China the opportunity to rise as the world hegemony. The West is too thoughtless because the more they fight Russia, the more damage they will cause to their countries.

Now, if we want to end the conflict, we should bring Zelensky down, actively propose cooperation with Russia, keep countries around Russia have a peaceful attitude so that Russia will not worry anymore. The whole world will be benefited.

The fucking EU needs new colonies.😁 It is the third Reich, enslaved and destroyed most Eastern European states. There's a Chinese wall to be erected on the border between Western and Eastern Europe, the only way we can save ourselves from the aggressive imperialists from the west.

I think the EP is a success, but isn't the question to think one step further and implement a Defense Partnership? Would that angry the Eastern Bear too much? Like in Ucraine? Obviously this is what these countries need.

More likely, the EU will succeed in bringing Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia closer, unlike Russia, whose policy is armed violence and destabilization. They (the Russians) never learn that coercion never works long-term.

Oh now I see, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine , why these 3 countries an why right now ?
This summit and the whole Eastern Partnership simply put was like a question from the EU:
    – Just to confirm that you're alone or against us?
I am very sorry for the citizens of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine – There are no values for us in Europe.

I hope I'm wrong but, we are between two blocks, they each have their own isolated economy, and there is no plan to take us aboard

I have heard of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) before. Did hear also of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) as well.
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Belarus are part of that one too (together with some of the -stan countries) so as you can see it's huge geopolitical limbo pulled by "The Big Bullies".
I think the only country from the EaP member state that may be able to join the EU in the future would be Moldova but only time will tell.

  37. @user-fu3co7xc9h

I've heard of the Eastern Partnership and somewhat knew its objectives, but I've always thought that it hasn't really succeeded in realizing them, but for a few instances.

  38. @popelgruner595

    February 21, 2024 at 2:59 am

As you explained at the beginning of the video the EPP is not about JOINING the EU but you list it as a failure that those countries won't join the EU soon? Erm… Can you spot the mistake?

Do the Donbass region people get democracy? Democracy is only possible when it has the concent of the governed. Ukraine does not have the concent of the Donbass region people. Looks like the Donbass region people will fight for their own freedom. It's ironic that Russia is for freedom, while the US and EU are against freedom for the Donbass region.

eastern partnership is bs, all those countries are crap

  44. @kotfmeler

    February 21, 2024 at 2:59 am

Partnership is not a failure. It's a letter of intent sent to eastern european nations, that one day they too can become member states. Just like Phare was for Poland in 90s. Russia criticize it, because it view every nation east of Oder river as it's sphere of influence and a defense buffer against any threat (be it real or just delusional; nobody in western world wants to invade Moscow and people who say NATO wants it, are either paranoic or lying for political gain). It does not matter for Kremlin rulers, what people in their neghbour states want. What matter is holding power and they truly believe that they do so by holding all european planes countries as their puppets. Only way for all this to end happily is for Russia to become full western democracy, allow it's people basic freedoms and join European Union. Then we could leave all this XIX cen imperialist nonsense behind us and live happily ever after… or until China invades.
