"UK Police cracked the Encrochat phone network."
    False:
The Isra-eli builders simply set a snare to lock up and demonize g-o–ys who distribute Isr-eaeli drugs.

Don't commit crimes unless politicians and or royalty are involved. Then you'll be fine

They’re making out like the police hacked it when in reality they caught someone with one of these phones and they let the police in and they added a virus.

Find nMobile on the nkn crypto network, they are deleting my links….. This is the real chat, fully decentralised that can never be traced by its very nature .. and has a crypto wallet so you can send crypto through the chat…. Google it or something

removing the USB on a phone doesn't make the phone untraceable, it only makes it more difficult to deliver payloads such as network mappers and other malware into the device itself for use in forensics.

Wait, so basic security is a bad thing? And somehow it's criminal? This makes me think if this is such a newsworthy story all other 'encrypted' services are already broken. I guess we aren't allowed any privacy anymore. Who knows, we might think wrong things and need to go to the Gulags, how will they monitor what we think otherwise?!

  18. @Zen_Power

    February 21, 2024 at 8:40 am

Why did the police announce that Encrochat has been hacked? Could have kept it quiet and continued monitoring.

You have to be a special type of stupid to rely on tech to stay anonymous. Always assume people can read anything you write and trace it back to you. That's probably exactly what the next generation of organised crime will be doing. Ah well, cleans up the place and shows the cops' willingness to act as intelligence agencies.

I'm sure ordinary people and political opponents to these goverments and their police have nothing to worry about. /s

Strasbourg school kid makes astrophysics discovery

Published

on

http://www.euronews.com/ Fifteen year old Neil Ibata has made a scientific discovery that may change the way we understand the nearest ‘large’ galaxy to our own – Andromeda.

The school boy from Strasbourg was doing an internship at the city’s astronomical observatory,
where his father works, when he came across the findings with a new computer programme he had just learnt how to use.

Admitting he hadn’t spent a hundredth of the time using the programme as his father, he says: “We calculated the distance and speed of this galaxy, which allowed me to model it. It was the conclusion of several weeks of work. But we can definitely say I had some beginners luck.”

The new study observes 13 smaller satellite galaxies orbiting around Andromeda in a way similar to how the planets in our solar system orbit around the sun. The galaxies are orbiting on a thin, pancake-like plane at a scale 900 million times larger than our own solar system.

The 15-year-old is featured on the cover of science journal Nature and named as a co-author of the study, however, he says he is not sure about whether he will one day become an astrophysicist.

Activists urge early deal on EU citizens rights

Published

Activists and experts from the UK want the EU and Britain to protect citizens rights after Brexit.

The 3 million group represents EU migrants living in the UK and it is headed up by Anne-Laure Donskoy.

“We have seen a few job adverts which says British nationals only. People are being turned down for rent agreements, for example opening bank accounts, is becoming more difficult or sometimes opening loans, because the bank like to know whether the person will be allowed to stay in the UK or not…
