They armed up to take Europe within 4 years. But it will take them 50 years to arm up for war again okay. Anyone who believes this is naive , Germany is the industrial hub of western civilization they are the manufacturing heart of the western world. If Germany re arms it can easily surpass the United States as Germany is a manufacturing country unlike the US 🇺🇸 they produce twice as many automobiles and they have large factories. If Germany arms up they can easily turn those factories to a war time economy. This is disinformation.

This man may be up to no good. Only the US takes trillion dollar national loans on defense every year. The Germans spent enough. Suppose Germany already has enough equipment from previous defense expenditures. So, on occasions in one fine year, Germany spending less than 2 percent is ok. The US spends on trillion dollars either yearly or after every 5 years, supposedly. The US also takes out, supposedly, new national loans of one trillion dollars. Angela Merkel refused to take national loans. On occasions, for one year , the US can easily hand out 1 trillion dollars to every man, woman and children locally born or naturalized, by just distributing new national loans among people in the country or among all people living in the western hemisphere. 1 trillion collars = 1000 billion dollars = 300 million people. So, the government of the US can easily distribute 3 billion dollars as gift grants to every person in the western hemisphere after the next national loan is approved by lawmakers or whoever.

USA taxpayers like myself are sick and tired of providing security for the damn freeloaders in Europe! We need the money for our selves! If you all don’t care about your defense..why should we across the ocean! It’s criminal and fraud that you all pretend to be a NATO MEMBER..
A year later nothing has changed….unlike Poland who ordered their NEW TANKS IN APRIL AND RECEIVED THEM 6 month later!
Good report..you should also look into the real reasons why Putin invaded Ukraine ….like all wars..it’s about oil and gas..the proven reserves under Crimea and the Eastern occupied regions represent the second biggest proven reserves in Europe…Putin wants a monopoly! It’s apparent german leaders are Putins agents!

Call it beureaucracy, call it medium corruption. The fact is we could spend 5% of GDP and it would not change anything. We have to massively reform the Beschaffungsamt and cut people there. A lot of people only work there for the sake of keeping their jobs yet on other positions in the German beureaucracy we desperately need new people. That’s where a lot of money also goes to waste: People keeping up the beureaucracy because else they would have to change to a different state organization.

It's a little unfair to compare modern day Germany to west Germany at the end of the cold war. That being said, it would be really nice to see Scholz do something, anything really, to tackle the bloated bureaucracy that dominates life in Germany.
I actually don't see how increasing the size of the special fond serves any purpose when it too is stuck in bureaucracy limbo.

February 22, 2024 at 1:48 pm
not saying everything is honkey dorey but the primary BS by foreign media is a complete ignorance how spending works. The 100 billion fund alone needed months to pass legislation, then the armed forces put together what they want to request via that fund, then the parliamentary commitee met in November and passed the first batch of programs that have a go ahead in December. By that point the planning covered more than 30 billion from the fund.
In short: The claim that none of the 100 billion was accessed, yet, actually surprised none because that is not how fiscal spending works. Emergency funds from somewhere else may have been available and were untapped but that is a different money pot entirely.

welll, the fact they have the lowest % of GDP on the Army, despite the NATO requirments. Because of this, German soldiers wait avg 5 years for the Equipment, something like 12 Tigers are fly worthy, Most Leopards arent driving and are rusting in the storage, Puma IFV's are unreliable and also not driveable and they have so little ammunition, that Most soldiers dont even shoot
