Even my Cat knows more about the Balkans than TLDR! You guys better stick to the fish-and-chips politics and forget about the Balkans. Europeans will never be able to understand our mess.
Ps: The title should have been Is North Macedonia about to join the EU? No mention of Albania in the video.

The problem with the whole situation is that Macedonia is historically a Bulgarian territory. However the Macedonian people have been brainwashed into thinking that they have some kind of Hellenistic root which is false.

Neither Albania or Macedonia are ready to join EU . Corruption its a big problem there especially in Albania with with all levels of the government corrupt . Everything is corrupt there starting from teachers , police , army , judges , lawyers, prosecutors, ministers, prime ministers. All government ministers are millionaires, none of them goes to jail. Recently the the economy minister and prime minister deputy got caught in a major corruption scandal and he was able to leave the country and still not arrested. Prime minister Edi Rama didn’t give a shit neither to resign or to apologize. In Austria few years ago the prime minister resigned in much smaller corruption scandal .

North Macedonia definetely won't join anytime soon and they don't even deserve it. Albania on the other hand does have a chance.

    TLDR: No.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is coping really hard at this point.

First of all, most of the EU members couldn't care if we joined or not.

Second, some outright oppose us, or have territorial aspirations (Bulgaria against N Macedonia).

Third, we are still wrought with corruption. The thing that most Europeans fail to realise is that this corruption is mainly caused by EU backed politicians.

The EU is literally getting scammed by these guys. They display the situation as being one thing, while the reality is different.

Not only are the Balkans not advancing, we are regressing. This makes us super vulnerable to being exploited by both western and eastern private corporations, whose interests are easily realised via corrupt local politicians.

In N Macedonia, while a great percentage of the population would like to see the country in the EU, the majority also feels we are being forced to do too many things, for benefits which we may never see.

It's kind of hopeless, but that's the way it has always been in the Balkans. I hope the westerners can enjoy living, I have no ill thoughts. Hopefully, we can enjoy living one day too. But apart from a major revolution to crush the current power structures to the ground, I fear nothing else can have the desired effect.

Albania will be a package deal with Serbia and Kosovo. Sad how bully nations such as Greece and Bulgaria are standing in the way of Macedonia’s ascension to the EU. That being said, I am not sure Macedonia is quite ready to join the EU.

The only main reason why Albania is not part of EU is the majority of muslims in my opinion! And the saddest fact is that Albania is really an example on religious cohabitation for EU and more…

  18. @Bodlasona

Macedonia deserved more than Bulgaria and Romania. Emm since 2003 Macedonia is a candidate 21 years later EU somehow became an irrelevant Union. IF Bulgaria and Romania can be a member s of EU undeniably Macedonia should .But asi can see the effects of that Union on their countries … I slowly but sure i would like neutrality .WHat exactly do we get from all of it !?

In this video, we’re going to take a look at the ruling in France and explain why, while it might be good news for Le Pen personally, it is actually probably bad news for the National Rally and thus the French right.
