Wow, I never thought such simple pass like that could bring protests like in France, in my country there is an app that you have to download if you're above the age of 12 to get into shopping malls, cafés, public transportation, etc. And you have to be vaccinated to get that app.

Vaccination is the OBVIOUS solution when there is an epidemic. Everyone should go for it and be glad that modern technology allows getting such an effective solution in a relatively short period of time, and for a little cost. Still some people for strange reasons fear more the vaccine than the illness….. If these people are too thick to understand the obvious, then a "Pass Sanitaire" is a good way to obtain that a large share of population gets vaccinated. And spare me please the stupid comments on "individual freedom": an epidemic, and worse a pandemic, is a national and a world issue, not a private individual question.

5000000 doses astra zenica doses of UK banned for export by France & probably more doses due to UK suffering the same fate, that is how you win the vaccine race.

People act like this is another brexit failure and proof the UK are doing shit, even though we’re still one of the highest

All it really says is that the EU takes a lot of time to actually do stuff and that when it finally gets something going it does it well (though even then it’s only about six of the 27 that have gotten above 70%)

It is too funny to scroll trough the commentary section XD Blah blah no this, jea that, that arguments in the section really makes me laugh.

Also, really good vid. I love the EU and its parts, so this vid came in handy to enjoy!
Also, these guys which think the vaccination is bad, are stupid 😛

The EU fell behind when countries were vaccinating people who actually needed to be vaccinated. The only reason the EU is "leap frogging" ahead, is due to the tyrant they're imposing on the healthy who refuse vaccination.

Once again, the Pfizer vaccine is actually by Biontech. They developed it and only teamed up with Pfizer for mass production and distribution

It's actually sad that you need to give some people something before they can be vaccinated.

First of all this is not a race!

I would not call being discriminated, harassed and forced against your will to vaccinate to be "nudge". It is clearly against human rights. Now… I am not against vaccines, but I am in principle against the idea of basically communism and putting society above the personal rights. One of the fundamental principles of western democracy is respect to human rights and individual rights as opposed to putting society above it, like we do with abortions, contraception, birth control etc. It is for individual to decide what they should do with their body.

Especially troubling, is that people choose to get vaccinated not from free will or medical reason, health related problems, but solely in submission for harassment and discrimination, and because it makes their lives miserable. If that is not definition harassment and discrimination, then I don't know what is. And NO.. there is no such thing as "positive discrimination". I mean in UK we have "peer pressure" which is already borderline discriminatory, but at least it is not mandated by goverment.

So whereas I agree UK failed in many fronts, brexshit is disaster and covid policy was less than ideal, I appreciate to be in UK where despite being vaccinated and having covid I don't need to show "vaccine passport" like some slave, or feel overarching control on my life like Chinese person where I am being tracked everywhere I go with social credit system. So obviously, it is clear that my is that vaccine passport is step too far, undemocratic, discriminatory and undermines personal rights. And it was absolutely not the right way to increase vaccinations rates.

Like we don't ask new mom whenever she considered contraception for family planning in case she is on benefits and we don't ask her to prove that she could afford to feed the baby before giving birth, we should not ask people what they decided to do with their vaccination – it is their personal choice! This is one rare are where UK is actually doing better so far.

The loser is the government that imposes the most authoritarianism. You should be able to choose whether or not to get a vaccine. Every adult on this planet has infected at least one other person with at LEAST a cold.

In some European countries governments are suggesting that soon unvaccinated won’t be able to do grocery shopping.. already today, unvaccinated individuals can’t eat in a restaurant or attend public events.. I really don’t think Democratic society can call it a win!

Could you share the source of the stats? "Worldindata" shows the UK leading, followed by Israel and the EU getting closer after a late start when it comes to % fully vaccinated.
The sad KPI of deaths per million people should be looked at as well, when discussing successful strategies:
    USA 2126
    UK 2019
    EU 1734
    Israel 894

what a lie… strong and clear protest in France ?? they are not even 30k protesters in Paris and less than 150k in all of metropolitan France and I am not for Macron lol…. you should know that protesting and striking is the french national sport, then 150 k protesters in all of france, it's a just a tiny protesting day.

  31. @furriadroxiaiu

    February 23, 2024 at 3:24 pm

The UK's grabbing of vaccines just to politically justify the success of brexit has left a wound in the EU countries that is difficult to heal. In addition, when Europe was helping other countries around the world with millions of doses, not a single dose came out of the UK.

The French protests are minor by their standards. As a senior living in France I am getting my booster jab this week with the 4th to follow in one month. It seems very well organised.

A little update on the anti-pass protests here in France. Last Saturday a total of 60 000 protesters where counted in the whole country. In other words, it deflated like a punctured wheel!!!!
And thanks to the pass, French economy is now starting to boom, and its likely to completely recover from the crisis next year. Lets not forget that France was the first country in EU to use the pass. The other countries adopted the pass after seeing French surge in vaccines.
As for Macron's popularity, he seems to be on its way to be reelected comfortably next year. (if he represents that is)

  39. @georgiancountryball202

    February 23, 2024 at 3:24 pm

Covid pass is literal way to force people in which case more people will be against it because people don’t like to do things that we are forced to DO and those people get it
In country’s that have people that don’t need vaccines and that thing coming into the country will lead to mass protests like in poor countries

  40. @Biggerbadwolf

    February 23, 2024 at 3:24 pm

The EU was LATE in signing up for vaccination orders, THAT is the truth!!

  41. @Nick-ju8gi
