   Despite all the oratory leading up to the referendum. "they need us more than we need them" , "we hold all the cards" , "there will be £360 MILLION extra for NHS on leaving"! (where did that go I wonder). blah blah blah ! Here on the mainland, we have moved on. But like any political system we have our problems. Generally speaking, we are in a much stronger position since Britain left. In fact, folk from ALL three of the Baltic States, (Latvia, Estonia & Lithuania) Germany, The Netherlands & Italy have claimed even the 'far right of those countries do NOT mention leaving any more. If you need proof of this, simply compare the terms of UE s deal with the "Far Eastern bloc & Individual countries", and the terms of similar deals made by Britain with the same people.

    Its past the time where the UK starts to charge a 'rental' fee to ALL EU fishing boats plundering UK fishing waters, this will offset the annual charge the eu is making on the UK until 2064.
    Clearly, the UK cannot continue funding these eu thieves, the broadcast stated the eu budget works on 7 year cycles, so, on what date did the cycle begin for UK payments to continue (& dont tell me it was the first day of LEAVING as this could be a cycle period of 13 years)…& when does it end..?

    Europe is too culturally and historically disparate to be a Union rather than a mutually beneficial cross border political & economic trading platform . The UK will now in the medium term be a net autonomous benefactor as a European country .

    as a brit living in Denmark I see brexit as a catastrophe,but if CANZUK were to become a reality I would see it as one of the best things to happen internationaly for decades.This way we get closer to our best friends and relatives abroad.

    thankfully the UK tries hard to send us its business, trade and workforce in order to apologize for its shameful exit. 😉

    The spending numbers lack one important figure here: the return on investment per Euro spend. For the future they may be just projections, but the economies of Germany, Netherlands etc. showed for a long time now that they still get far more out of the EU then they invest and I remember this figures were thrown around once. After all those rich economies dont get their benefits directly from EU spending but from "exploiting" the markets the EU develops with these "membership fees".
    And its often not even that indirectly and far off in the future, considered these small EU economies often dont even have the industry able to fullfill all the contracts made with EU cash. With the UK leaving there is also a strong competitor leaving for those "sponsored by EU" contracts …
    Long story short, I hope we wont see a lot of cuts … Just a little to please the EU critics who dont do the math behind those huge membership fees should be enough to continue the long ongoing trend of getting fat from such generous spending into other markets.

    Some may be interested to learn that there is another large political system which works on the basis of having larger and richer states fund the smaller and poorer states with the net result apparently being one where the larger group of all the states together still manages to somehow survive economically in the world. It's called the United States of America. Ever hear of it?

    If the EU budget is € 1,823 billion, a loss from the UK of € 10 billion equates to 0.005% reduction.
    No mention of the cuts to Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales on their regional development funding by Westminster in this video.

    Uk MPs from the last 47 years will continue to receive their pensions so must of the “divorce”bill is to cover that, but the British never talk about it. Farage and all the anti EU MPs were paid handsomely and still receiving from EU until they died 😡

    Would be nice to know for real how much uk paid and received, like to know the balance because uk paid lots money but also got lots money back. Unfortunately that isn’t explained so the people think uk just pays and getting nothing back what’s not true.

    They EU has a very much larger capability to deal with it's budgetary issues than does that small third world state which is, at least for the moment, known as the UK. Fortunately for the UK, Northern Ireland is recovering more strongly than the rest of the UK due to the fact that it is still effectively on good trading terms with the EU, so that should help the UK to some extent.

    You're actually missing something! The EU plans on funding itself by creating their own revenue streams through taxes etc.! So there will be another way to fill the budget hole

    The answer is simple: under the guise of an "EU-levy on non-recycled plastic packaging", the remaining member states have agreed to pay around 7 billion euros per year more into the EU budget. This money flows into the EU budget without earmarking and thus fills the Brexit hole. Member states, especially from Eastern Europe, were kept quiet by discounts.
