I am very fortunate to say that i have witnessed a star being devoured by a black hole with my own two eyes back in 2005 and it happened exactly how it is illustrated in this video, it was in a small village in mexico where it was possible to see this and was able to see the milky way clearly, star gazing in the city is just not as enjoyable.

I don't think the star breaks apart. It simply follows the flow of the powerful gravitational pull, and shoots it out somewhere we can't observe.

This is scientific fact is mentioned in the Quran holy book. God (allah) sweared "by the stars when it vanishes" first verse in soura alnajem (aka stars).
