    I'm so tired of nationalistic boomers. No matter where they are, they think they are the best on earth. No matter if its nationalists in Italy, Germany, France, UK or Poland… It would be so awesome to really stick together and find better solutions to our current and future problems and not just trying to get the most out of the EU just to oneself. It's time for Europe to rise and leave this stupid nationalism behind us

    1 year after upload, mera is running on the Greek elections and it is uncertain if they will enter parliament at all, even tho they have been song a lot of work against government intransparency and the shrinking of many democracy indexes.

    The DiEM25's Manifesto is too optimistic: just like Marxism – cool on paper as promise, but hard to actually establish. Not to mention that from some of their policies, they might actually make more controlled and un-democratic Union, with national assemblies having less power.

    Absolutely onboard with a universal basic dividend.

    With automation and AI we're rapidly advancing to a point where significant amounts of human labour is not only replaceable, but unnecessary.

    We're advancing to a future where people don't need to work, but more than that, we're advancing to a point where there won't be any profitable work for humans to do. Companies won't hire people for roles automation can fill more cheaply and efficiently.

    Shareholders can't be the only beneficiary of human progress. Measures need to be put in place now to give the general populace a dividend, eventually growing into comprehensive income as the need for human labour disappears.

    If we don't start now, while human labour still has value, we'll get nothing from the corporations later, once it doesn't.

    Ah, yes. The party that calls everything right of Lenin to be fascist, who openly say "comrades" to eachother and who conspire to undermine democratic elections throughout Europe. They can with the help of downright communism surely solve democracy.

    I feel they are missing a trick by including vouching for Feminism and LGBTQ+ groups in their manifesto. I would strongly tend to agree with them on almost their entire political approach, but I am not a supporter of modern Feminism (where men must kneel for women to stand), and I think the Trans movement is going too far as well (Denying basic biology with pseudo-science based off of people's "feelings", and allowing kids to choose their gender and "transition" through expensive surgery, along with enforcing these rediculous ideals by persecuting all opposition with cancel culture), so I guess they don't want me to join their cause.

    I feel like they would have many more people on their side if they were willing to segregate and omit those two rather devisive smoking guns from their Manifesto.

    We voted for ΜεΡΑ 25 here în Greece.
    There is no left wing right wing struggle, but an 1%ers vs 99%ers fight.
    And with the automatization looming big over us, there is an emergency that cant be ignored.
