Portugal is simply too small to have much of a manufacturing base. It is better to leave for better opportunities.

Portugal was never rich, it's rich in DEBT, it's a nation that doesn't produce and is stuck in the past. The Portuguese moving for better opportunities to Brazil is a good thing for themselves and for Brazil.

Is Portugal improving? In 2013 the growth was -3.2, and now? Is the crisis in Europe ended? Last years Angola made +6.8 (almost 7% of growth).

Can we say the crisis in Europe is over? Thank you for the reply.

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

Lol regarding to that perspective, the whole world has been colonized. But if you dislike colonization what about before colonization?

  8. @jyde50

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

centuries to build Africa??? lol, you are a stupid idiot, have you forgotten colonialism??? or are you too stupid to know that no africa country is up to 55 years old because of europeans??

  9. @jfarinhote

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

lol do you believe that any African country will be a better country to live than any of Western Europe? You are naive man… 20 years? They had all the years centuries and millenia to do so, look what they got.

  10. @jfarinhote

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

Actually it's the other way round. You think Portugal is a third world country? Is it Greece a third world country too? Where does Angola stand then?

  11. @jfarinhote

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

Who are you calling animals? Portugal third world? According to wich standards? lol

  12. @HenrySims

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

Lol, democracy in Angola? Even penguins do it better in Antarctica.

  13. @HenrySims

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

Without you Africans? We fought Africans in our own penisula 1000 years ago. The only people we need are ourselves. Angola did Boomed when Portuguese were there, learn economics please. In the 70's Angola had a much bigger share of the World GDP , 6% of Growth Rates and less dependent oil economy and was also the bread basket of Southern Africa.

  14. @HenrySims

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

LOL What's the point of living in a rich country if you are poor and most of people around you are as well? I rather live in country poor in resources and yet live well. Also, you should check the news, Portugal is rejecting most of Angolan's investments due of their illicite source. Also, it is a charming coincidence that Angola is only developing when Portuguese are returning there 😉

  15. @Giagantus

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

LOL I was just about to say that. Anyways amusing to see that others have noticed this.

Being white itself is the white racial problem. Africa should never have to depend on E.U or America simply because most of the exports are natural resources which could be sold to the emerging economies. As for immigration your assuming that Europe will forever be on top? Times change, you never know what type of influence other nations will have over world affairs

  17. @freest2dogg

    February 26, 2024 at 4:46 am

im not white but there is a white racial problem. But its not affecting white people. It would affect all people. If only america and europe receive immigrant then then africa and latin america would never improve there economys because they depend on europe. Either way africa is becoming like china and south america like the E.U. Thats not good the whole world is turning socialist.

Strasbourg school kid makes astrophysics discovery

Published

on

http://www.euronews.com/ Fifteen year old Neil Ibata has made a scientific discovery that may change the way we understand the nearest ‘large’ galaxy to our own – Andromeda.

The school boy from Strasbourg was doing an internship at the city’s astronomical observatory,
where his father works, when he came across the findings with a new computer programme he had just learnt how to use.

Admitting he hadn’t spent a hundredth of the time using the programme as his father, he says: “We calculated the distance and speed of this galaxy, which allowed me to model it. It was the conclusion of several weeks of work. But we can definitely say I had some beginners luck.”

The new study observes 13 smaller satellite galaxies orbiting around Andromeda in a way similar to how the planets in our solar system orbit around the sun. The galaxies are orbiting on a thin, pancake-like plane at a scale 900 million times larger than our own solar system.

The 15-year-old is featured on the cover of science journal Nature and named as a co-author of the study, however, he says he is not sure about whether he will one day become an astrophysicist.

“We have seen a few job adverts which says British nationals only. People are being turned down for rent agreements, for example opening bank accounts, is becoming more difficult or sometimes opening loans, because the bank like to know whether the person will be allowed to stay in the UK or not…
