Europeans Surveyed About Their Vision For Europe – More Integrated? Bigger Eurozone? – TLDR News
With COVID, economic issues and Brexit all hitting the EU at once, it seems like a bit of an inflexion point for the Union. Should the EU nations pull closer and integrate further or is it time for individual states to reclaim their power? In this video, we discuss what Europeans think by examining a recent poll of EU citizens.

I think this – as well as so many of your other opinion-based articles – would be benefit from an update in light of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Because the South is broadly weaker than the North. Northern European economies are generally always better off.

You can tell do much about a country by how much it affects that country. Finland is comparitively less likely to suffer a natural disaster than Greece for example.

I have the general feeling that it is best for the EU to proceed forward slowly. The looseness that allowed a 'no fight' Brexit has been a huge boon, as Brexit is showing itself to be a profound cautionary tale against trying to go backwards. The one big primary worry though is the advance of global warming, which is likely to go faster than European union.

I love the idea of the European Union as the band of countries that literally spend centuries fighting and hurting one another then coming together in the new century to face the new challenges. I totally agree that the EU should use its member states' collective historical experience to set a standard for the rest of the world (after all, some of today's issues can be mostly attributed to European countries doing some nasty things to others). However, I feel today's EU is too idealistic and verbal in its approach to its internal issues rather than practical.

The most obvious take from this poll is that Finland is an extremely selfish and self-centred country. Considering its former domination by Russia, l found that particularly odd.
