http://www.FTV.com/videos – In this week’s Tokyo Fashion News, a new collection from Uno et L’Etoile, complete with a press conference to kick it off. Next, FTV heads to the Junko Koshino book launch party. We also catch the action at Girls Award Summer Night. Uno Kanda’s newest wedding dress collection is called Uno et L’Etoile. It’s the second collection for the brand. The actress/designer said, “I have designed it pop and cute, plus I want to make it adult-like and girly at the same time.” Many of the dresses featured roses. This time she printed roses on cloth and mixed it with stripes. The collection was presented by Kuraudia. Well-known model Yukina Kinoshita mad an appearance in a glamorous wedding dress. Next, designer Junko Koshino recently published a book about her mother and had a book launch party to celebrate its debut. Junko wore a stylish kimono for the event. The party’s concept was wearing yukata and watching fireworks. Japanese people typically wear the Japanese garment, a cotton kimono for summer, while watching fireworks. In this case, the fireworks were showcased on screens around a room. The book is called Jinsei Korekaraya. It’s what her mother always said. DJ/MC Ia played at the event. During the even,t Junko showcased a fashion show with an eccentric punk theme. Finally, FTV brings you all the action from Girls Award Summer Night which was held in the popular Tokyo club Vanity. Alisa Urahama was the DJ at the event. It was her first time at the club. She played in a bikini, because as she described, she made her debut as a pin-up girl. TV personality and DJ Manami Marutaka also made an appearance. R&B singer/songwriter Mohombi performed for the crowd. Other live performances were given by stars like Marie Ishikawa and Aili. The night capped off with a surprise birthday party and cake for model/DJ Melody Yoko.
