Mary went from almost quitting the game to being the best keeper in the world that’s what a top manager can do to your confidence.

Our Lionesses just keep on winning. What a goal by Toone. Mary was unbelievable in goal. It was a tough test and wasn’t the best performance in the second half. Despite that, they dug deep won a shootout in a major final. They beat the 8 time Copa America Champions to go a staggering 30 game’s undefeated. 138 goals scored and only 10 conceded. 1 x UEFA European Championships, 1 x UEFA-CONMEBOL Copa Finalissima Champions, 2 x Arnold Clark Cups. All in the space of 17 months. 🏆 🏆🏆🏆🦁

I`d put money on Toone against most keepers penalty wise. But the Brazil keeper was exceptional. Rousso should be on next time though.
But in open play both are 100% certainties. And Toone always scores the crunch time goals in big matches. Spectacularly. So don`t worry too much Tooney.
Earps. Newbies will probably forget she`s world`s best. Often not much to do. But she`s there waiting.

Great effort from the Lionesses and Brazil showed just what a good side they are. It's going to be an exciting WC in Australia/New Zealand.

A good showing by the Lionesses and a useful test revealing what they need to work on. There are quite a few new faces in the squad and many younger players without a huge amount of experience, so it is going to take a little while for them to gel and become the finished product. Other countries are also improving at a rapid rate — Brazil are getting better and better and will be a side to be reckoned with in a few years' time. We are not going to win every game or play wonderfully all the time, but last night showed that we can grind out a result irrespective of setbacks. Excited for the World Cup!

There is a great need for more women to play & a particular opportunity for new keepers, especially who aren't short, shame Ann-Katrin Berger isn't English.
