Definitely a good thing for Europe, stop doing business with dictators and commies. They are not your friends and they use your addiction to beat you. Find alternatives from friends or develop your own. Nuclear power is still cleanest and safest, most reliable available. F RuXXia.

How many more reasons do you need to focus fully and comprehensively on switching to renewables? Seriously. Relying on fossil fuel products means always relying on one or the other international adversary (and human rights violator). Let's just divest. It is an easy sell to the EU citizens, so why not just do it!!? This diddling around is frustrating!

    Well done Putin's Russia.

Wanna know what’s funny? The saudis are buying Russian oil cheap and resell it to the west at a huge price.

The Saudi successfully used the 1973 oil embargo to keep the US in line during the Arab/Israeli war, Russia will simply borrowing from that playbook and keep the EU in line with a gas/oil embargo. Putin can further justify his actions citing the EU/US sanctions on trade.

Poland experienced German fascism – total economic destruction, genocide – over 6 million murdered Poles, and the extermination of Poles in its territory during the First and Second World Wars caused by Germany with the participation of Russia in 1918 and 1939 – 1945, when the Auschwitz Birkenau German Camp – The Germans sentenced St. Maksymiljan Mari Kolbe, who voluntarily gave his life for a fellow prisoner, and after whose starvation, did not dare to condemn any prisoner of this Camp to death by starvation and now – in the 21st century Germany through the EU Institutions and Brussels officials, Von der Leyern, many EU Leftists – supporting the German MEP Katarine Barley, who publicly announces that Poland – should be starved financially. Has German Fascism Revived? – YES – EU decision makers are fighting against Poland? Hitler's NSDAP party – was a left-wing party and they attacked Poland with Russia. Today – leftist parties run politics. The EU – also to starve Poland and the more than 4.5 million Ukrainian refugees accepted by it. – This is already the third world war. The difference is that in two wars the Germans murdered Poles, Jews and other nationalities in the death camps and shot them – just like Putin in Ukraine today. Now Germany has created the EU and under its mantle – they make the EU members dependent on the euro – produced in Germany, in order to cut Poland off due finances at the right moment, which pays as much as 7 billion a year to the EU coffers. Since 2021, the EU has not paid out anything and continues to claim that there is no rule of law in Poland – to continue withholding due payments – until Poland's bankruptcy is triggered. German fascism is already fighting economically against Poland, so that after bankruptcy – Ruski could attack Poland from the east – just like in 1941. German fascism has revived. The EU's fight against Hungary is also a cover for Germany so that it is not recognized that it is Poland that is under the German-Russian target.

Britain is able to energy isolate itself from the global market with the same emergency measures as the US has ready to protect itself from the worst socioeconomic fallout of Germany's greed for Putin's blood resources. Germany should be punished for enabling Putin's plans directly against the wishes of the nations it has subjugated under the Euro who'll actually have to send the weapons and eventually do the fighting to protect the German state despite its current cancerous form.

There's an old Saying "Don't put all your Eggs in one Basket." Trump told PM. A. Merkle of Germany as well as other European Leaders, don't get in Bed with Putin. Germany is going to pay a Heavy price for such a insane Decision. And unfortunately the US can't assist Europe with their Shortage of Natural Gas and Oil because Biden signed over 30 Executive Orders penalizing The Industry on the 3rd Day of his Presidency. We failed on three fronts. 1. Penalizing Americans with high Prices for these commodities and
    2. The Inability to assist Europe with their Crises. 3. The lost of Billions in both Profit and Revenue…..less Taxes collected.

What would happen to inflation around the world if energy prices went up by that much? The World is reeling from high inflation and recessions. Putin could deal a deathblow by shutting down Nordstream 1. I hope it doesn't happen. There's enough problems in the world right now.

  27. @antonn1912

    February 27, 2024 at 8:56 pm

Problem not for Russia to sell someone gas in developing world ,but for EU find who sell them that amount of gas and other energetic resources.
Nuclear tech and materials also is Russia ,
Germany also once said that they want go to hydrogen in future , and Russia said they already have plan for that type of resource and have very high chance become one of main supplier of it.
Also Russia one of the pioneers in thermo- nuclear tech. If EU want energy they can call to any Russian partner but prepare many money

Weeur Europe may start piling up firewood

  29. @alanmann6099

    February 27, 2024 at 8:56 pm

But… but, I thought Europe would be delighted with this news. After all it reduces their dependence on Russian gas and stops them from funding Russia's invasion.
Come on TDLR. What about those "Brilliant" sponsors.

  30. @tonymitchell1461

    February 27, 2024 at 8:56 pm

No way: Putin loses as much or more than the Europeans by cutting off his best customers. He would only do this if backed into a corner: For example Ukraine were on the brink of defeating Russian army in Ukraine.
However he may give the Germans a scare by delaying gas supplies as a warning.

  31. @LynnetteJJW

    February 27, 2024 at 8:56 pm

So at the moment it is turned of ,for maintenance, so what are you going on about, will you be back, when Nord 1 stream ,is back on line , if this is going to happen! It may happen, what a load of propaganda.if they wanted more gas why don't Germany's open nordic 2 ,

  34. @luisj4491

    February 27, 2024 at 8:56 pm

Nord stream 1 is secured with 6 compressor stations, if we assume that half of them are here as backup then yes it is a political decision. But can we blame them ? No, we can only blame ourselves because we started the economic war with the Russian Federation first. Energy is the lifeblood of modern economies, we chose to concentrate our consumption only on certain resources which led us to become their first client and to depend on them. What could happen in the future? We will continue to buy their energies resources through third countries, but at a higher price. They will still sell their energy resources because many countries have no other choice and unlimited money, like us with green and nuclear energy.

  35. @adamloranth
