Ukraine has (somewhat unsurprisingly) been destroyed by the ongoing war, so much so, some estimate it’ll cost a trillion dollars to fix everything. The question is if the West should help pay to do so, in something echoing the WWII Marshall Plan.

No way in the world, especially if the US next President is republican – is Ukraine getting another red cent from the west. The narrative and propaganda well has already run dry! Zelensky the sniffer and grifter has ran out of favors.

only if a few favorite corporations get to charge triple their costs, then it is okay. Now, if we have major cost overruns and it ends up costing two trillion, that's even better.

Clean up the corruption at ever level of politics, intuitions and corporations will mean more to the common folk then just poring in monies without accountability. Glory to Ukraine and their Heroes.

It's a good idea, but it should require law changes that reduce corruption, not just because corruption is bad but because then Ukraine can actually apply to the EU and NATO if that's what their voters so desire.

  11. @dennischai4831

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

EU/NATO member states should foot the bill to rebuild Urkraine. Afterall they encouraged Urkraine by supplying weaponry…..but they can't bring back the dead Urkrainians or the broken families.

Putin (Russia) has frozen money in G7 banks. It is about $600 billions, right? It should all be used for rebuilding Ukraine.

  13. @ayeejiff9847

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

Funniest thing is that Ukraine expects russia to pay for the damages. not happening any day ! You Reap what you Sow ukraine

  14. @cindybogart6062

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

Their may not even be a Ukraine after all this! They need to stop this war, immediately! No country has that kind of money to invest in another. All the money they have been sent to keep the country running has all been borrowed & Zelensky will not negotiate to end this war…… so why would another country go into such depths for a country that doesn’t try & save it’s self??

  15. @RandomGuy9

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

Who else is going to pay? We have to rebuild it as fast as possible after the old borders are restored. When I get a chance I will go to Ukraine and help building myself.

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

Will the US/NATO lead by example and compensate Iraq and Afghanistan for the unjust death and destruction inflicted, before asking that Russia do the same for Ukraine.

  17. @hakajsjks7473

  19. @Yusheesan

The only interest the West has in Ukraine is to bleed Russia dry. The only country who will rebuild Ukraine is Russia.

If Ukraine give 20% of there land this would not happen. Ukraine is 170% bigger than Germany. Do you know how much land Germany gived to other countries after ww1 more than 30%.

  27. @kkkiren599

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

What does the West expect? Make a sanctioned Russia pay for " damages"? I wonder who is fooling whom. Europe has to help rebuild Ukraine if " she survives" with tangible capabilities once the war ends. Even after the war ends hostility will not cease. Conflicts can inflict wounds that tend towards sepsis if not gangrene and take time to" heal" if ever.

  28. @lawrenceralph7481

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

Probably worthwhile to provide secured IMF loans for some infrastructure that increases productivity and tax returns.

This can be complemented by private investment where profitable projects exist.

Some countries may find it less expensive to provide aid to Ukraine than to support refugees in country.
But in low growth rate Europe, refugee Ukrainians may stay, welcomed for their talent and productivity.

  29. @davidmira9043

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

Whatever your assessment of the cost is should be reduced by more than half since Russia will most likely take the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine and essentially more than 50% of the previously known territories. The US and Britain are guilty of causing this devastation. So, say farewell to the previously known Ukraine. My advice to you to put some realistic thinking into your statements. It would be a great idea to think before talking. Then again, it would be impossible to stop a Brit from talking nonsense.

Why europe pay ukraine just help a little. Maybe loans

  31. @atrumluminarium

    February 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm

I'd rather have Ukraine rise from the ashes using my tax money than have Russian snake slither in corrupting the country into being a puppet like Belarus

In this video, we’re going to take a look at the ruling in France and explain why, while it might be good news for Le Pen personally, it is actually probably bad news for the National Rally and thus the French right.
