They should also be looking at the strangle hold that Microsoft has on the pc OS market. This company can bring the EU to its knees with a faulty software update. Just imagine what they could do if they wanted to shut down all the windows computers in the EU.
As for day to day spyware, windows 10 collects huge amounts of data on users.
China is a risk as they may install software that could disable telecommunications across Europe in the event of conflict, but the EU is in far deeper trouble with its dependence on us software corporations, as t is no secret that they collect data on their users on a daily basis, they build obsolescence into their products to increase sales and have a stranglehold monopoly on the OS market.
5G, IoT and a service business model that requires continuous access to remote server farms is reducing the resilience and security of Europe, not to mention creating a direct link between consumer wallets and the bank accounts of the corporations involved.

Of course because that's what China does and is know for. They've been warned, if they use chinas company they will regret it .
America will have to break all internet ties and communication with them.
Any intelligence won't be able to flow back and forth anymore.
The EU and US are not allies anymore. It's sad because there's no reason for them to be so upset. It's Americas choice not to agree with the Globalist agenda. We believe in borders and in our country.
Being a Nationalist is spreading and the EU will see more Countries wanting to leave. 🇺🇸🙃

What is this fool with the round glasses saying. Develop 5G ourselves? Who are we in this case? Europe is home to two of the three largest developers and manufacturers of 5G equipment, Nokia and Ericsson. Both based in EU member states. Shocking ignorance.
