As an American who actually pays attention to what's happening on the world stage it is a relief to have a capable diplomat in the White House again. I'm not a huge lover of Biden and did not initially vote for him in the primaries. However, his administration has shown that it inherited the Obama administration''s talent for foreign policy, diplomacy and consensus building amongst our allies. Which is needed now more than ever.

Yes ! A new era with Biden… Abandonning Afghanistan, tackling France in Switzerland and Australia.
We guessed that USA were not reliable allies to defend Europe since Obama, now we're sure they are unreliable allies. So, let's take the consequences and remove France from the dead-brain NATO organization.

Biden isn't going to change anything as both parties have a very similar foreign policy with Democrats being more anti Russia actually. Having US solders in Europe is EXTREEMLY unpopular in the USA and this will need to come to an end soon with the USA in such massive financial debt and with focus moving to Asia. US companies do have offices in Europe but there is limited heavy trade, American car makers have been leaving Europe and only Jeep which is owned by a European company anyway and Tesla increasing presence. At the end of the day I think Europe and USA/Canada are probably only going to grow apart as world order stabilizes and a focus on Asia. I think there is important trade between North America and Europe but it is mostly consumable goods which overall is limited value and most of high value agriculture in the USA/Canada is anyhow being sold in Asia and not Europe like Almonds, Beef and Grapes, these are all going to Asia.

Hey know one has to agree with everything , but the united States has never turned there backs on any of the commitments to there Allie's sence WW2 they have been lock step with Europe. Even in WW2 it was Europe first. It didn't matter that there pacific fleet was on the bottom of pearl harbor. Europe first. I know trump damaged the relationship. But he's out of office. Just remember sence WW2 as far as Allie's go it's been Europe first. Not to mention the cost to the tax payers of the united States to be able to be ever where at all times. Australia Europe , the united States has always had your backs and don't think anyone should just turn there backs on them.

I hate Trump but I think he was to some degree right about NATO whether it's balanced by EU Nations or by the EU itself it seriously needs to be looked into still. Otherwise in 4yrs potentially a new US leader could pull funding.
