Over the last few days, Russian energy giant Gazprom has slowly but steadily reduced the amount of gas flowing to Europe. Originally, they blamed the shortfall on technical problems but various European leaders have accused the Russians of playing politics.

sorry your news are BS. you ignored sanctions on Russia since 2004. you ignored EU sending Ukraine coup government weapons and literally running the segregation and racist politics against russians and russian speaking people. i am blocking your channels. for me no news from you. you also lied about war there. accord to EU USA and Ukraine there is no war between Russian Federation and the Ukraine. If you are making the news do reports real news not fake one.

if they consider that russians weaponised natural gas, russians can easily accuse them of weaponising money transfering. i m sorry but that s the way things are. they should have thought it first that every knife has two edges

NATO provoked Russia into this war.
They sent weapons to help kill Russian soldiers.
They should be grateful it hasn't been cut off completely yet! Good god the arrogance!

The Solution to this…in Europe and the rest of the World…is to have ground loop heat pumps. They should be horizontal for low-rise buildings, and vertically drilled for high rises. The temperature underground is about 54 F year around. The geothermal heat pump is 500%(!) more efficient than other means of heating and cooling. You are not pumping against very hot (or cold) air. Solar panels are also practical in many places.
I have an EV, and trucks can use overhead electric lines installed over highways. This is already being done in Germany and Norway, and could mostly replace Diesel Fuel
Gasoline=45% of a barrel of Oil
    Diesel Fuel-31%

And, the above solution would drastically decreased natural gas usage. Even if we get Thorium Breeder reactors, we need to reduce enduse of Energy. The Geothermal Heat Pump is the way to GO. About 60% of Energy use is for HVAC, and half of the rest for the hot water heater.

    Yes we CAN!

I have been walking or biking for 20 years for many reasons… most of those years were in Alaska, and the closest place to my house was 3.5 miles away.
    I don't drive 4 several reasons…
    War
    Polution
    9/11 truth
Ect… and yes the list goes on…
How about you, would you make that kind of sacrafice for your belief in nature and peace??? Or do you drive to work only to get stuck in traffic every day.

If Russia is going to stop the gas the first reaction of the west would be to fully sanction every russian bank since no exceptions are needed anymore for paying gas.

By reducing or stopping the export of its oil, gas, fertilizers, grains & food products to Europe & redirecting these Russian Commodities to other Countries & regions around the World, Russia will be able to help people in serious need of these commodities & increase its economic & political influence in friendly countries that have not imposed sanctions against it to harm or try to destroy its economy. Russia has no obligation to be concerned for the welfare & economic well-being of citizens of the EU Countries. That’s the responsibility of the Political Leaders who imposed sanctions against Russia & who should be working to eliminate any adverse consequences that maybe affecting their constituents. The needs of people in other parts of the World are just as important & Russia should be applauded for all the help it can give them.

Sri Lanka's fuel crisis is not just because of the situation elsewhere. It is because of their internal problems that prevents them to handle the oil crisis

It should be mentioned that Russian Natural gas by no means is the main energy source in Europe. In Italy and Germany for example it constitutes between 12 – 15% of the total energy mix.
