The Swiss direct democracy
in the heart of EUROPEis totally incompatible with the centralized EU top-down politic and would have come to an end with the framework agreement. The swiss people want to decide themself what is written in their constitution. This all goes to show that relationships, such as the one this single country has with the EU, can be very complex and sophisticated. It would naturally be incredibly stupid to just void all those relationships as it would likely result in sheer chaos, just like with the UK.
