Triya swimwear has a mix of neon hues and brown stripes which seem to work well when paired together in lines against the body.

At Filhas de Gaia, models wow us in white dresses with painted bows, ruffled bikinis, and other unique daywear looks that say beach but not necessarily bathing suit.

TNG has models with navy blue and denim looks mixed with sunglasses and orange eyeshadow.

Patachou has elongated white looks, and cool pleats, color blocking, and color combinations.

Salinas Creative Director Jacqueline de Biase celebrates 30 years of beach and diving in Rio de Janeiro for SS 2013 at Fashion Rio. She does so with bold prints featuring fruit and flowers along with ruffles and bows.

Agatha showcases a mint green 80s look with top model Aline Weber opening the show and later, Latin cowboys in the form of models taking the stage.

Blue Man is high-cut, itty bitty Brazilian bikinis and bathing suits at its finest.

Alexandre Herchcovitch is all about finding inspiration in a recent trip to Morocco as the theme behind his Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Fashion Rio. Desert themes, flowers, ethnic prints, bursts of sand and more.

Poko Pano is more of the colorful bikinis and bathing suits we love from our Brazilian designers.

Melk Z Da has the classic, stylish streetwear of a beach area like Rio with hoodies, and casual embroidered dresses.

A darker, cooler theme with gold metallics and black leather mixed with blue and red combinations comes to Rio with Oh Boy.

Alessa’s funky prints on jumpers and baggy pants make a statement when paired with ruffles and colorful Fedoras.

Designer Lenny Neimeyer could be Rio’s most popular swimwear designer and that’s because she reinvents herself every year. This year, it’s all about colorful prints that almost look like comic book strips planted onto bathing suits.

Finally, tropical prints come alive at Cia Maritima.
