The Rafah crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip has been partially reopened after being closed since Monday.
Thousands of Palestinians on either side have been waiting for the Egyptian authorities to ease restrictions.
Egypt’s new army-backed leadership does not have a good relationship with Palestinian group Hamas, who control Gaza and had supported ousted Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi.
Over 1,000 people passed through everyday when Morsi was in power.
The crossing has been completely shut since the killing of 25 Egyptian police in Sinai. Egyptian authorities cited ‘security reasons’.
Describing his situation, Abdallah al-Haw said: “If I can’t cross now, I’ll lose another term at university and will be delayed when starting the next term. This is a huge problem for Palestinian students in Egypt. It will cost us more money.”
Others are fed up, like Gaza resident Musa Islibi who said: “I am going to Saudi Arabia. I have come here to try and cross a couple of times in the past few weeks. I’m tired of it.”
It is not only Palestinians who have been left hanging about.
“I have been waiting since Monday to pass back through Rafah crossing to Egypt. Here is it’s very crowded today, there are many, many, many people who’ve been waiting for a long time,” said British man Andrew Karney from inside the terminal.
For people wanting to get in and out of Gaza, the Rafah crossing is the only one that borders Egypt and not Israel.

If you want to know why our founding fathers in the US, came up with the electoral college. They not only knew the political aspect of representation being fair for all as compared to a strict democracy. When like minded ppl in city centers or heavily populated areas get together, they can rule over everyone. Not giving a voice to the ppl out in the country; can literally dictate policy to all. Basically city ppl telling farmers how to farm, just like what we are seeing.
Our founders knew the human aspect to the application of strict policy without representation as well. One thing ppl in the country do and they do well is farm. When farmers feel as though they’re not being heard, what will they do? They’ll shut off the food supply. So it was either give them a voice, as in the form of an electorate that can represent them as a whole. or ppl can starve to death that the farmers don’t agree with.
In its essence, on a basic human level. It was invented to keep ppl from going after each other’s throats.

Attac on farmers and agricultural land started around 30 years ago. They are bringing them to brankopcy with their policies so they swoop in and buy farmers land for cheep. Governments and WEF want us to depend on them for food resources. So they can control us better. Food and water are the last resources for the inslaving population. People need to start buying small lands in the countryside and start producing their own food. Families who feed themselves depend on themselves, not the government. And those people can't be controlled by governments.
