Following attacks in France and across Europe, French President Macron is going to be cracking down on what he calls ‘radical Islamic separatism’. Some see this as the best way to handle the crisis while others think the whole move is Islamophobic. So in this video we discuss exactly what’s happened, what Macron said to outrage the Muslim world and what this means for the country going forward.

comparing the treatment of Muslims in modern liberal europe to the thousand year history of anti-Semitism Jews have experienced there is frickin hilarious

    Also very 🤮
Not saying Muslims aren't being persecuted or anything today, India and Palestine in particular have some horror stories, but Europe?
In Europe, Jews literally were en masse deported from England in the middle ages, and massacred in the rhineland prior to the crusades. During the Spanish inquisition, the slightest suspicion that u were a Jew could get u arrested and put on trial. Jews were killed, then had their kids stolen and their property seized, and centuries later down the line have been accused of basically being interchangeable with the lizard people in Alex Jones type conspiracy bull. And that was all BEFORE the holocaust!!!

Comparing all that to what basically amounts to either cultural ignorance or insensitivity and educational restrictions and surveillance is just … next level

France doesn’t have “islamophobia”, Islam has a civilization phobia.

what about the hijab ban? 🤔 Since when does secularism dictate what people should wear? why does he withdraw support for Sarah Zemmahi just because she's wearing hijab in the campaign poster?

The main reason for the outrage is the fact that french government put the same cartoons on government buildings.

Just imagine a BLM protester killing someone for making racist cartoons against black. The killing obviously is wrong but can the US government then put the same racist cartoons in their buildings ?

The irony of people who promote the Blood Libel claiming trying to claim that teaching history about Islamic figures is equivalent to it is hilarious. Pakistan literally has one of the highest rates of antisemitism in the world, yet they dare compare anti-radical Islam sentiment to antisemitism.

  12. @mabo3506

Under Sharia Law – which is Islamic law, a tax is levied on all people of other faiths. In other words they are financially penalized because they don't subscribe to Islam. Is that not discriminatory ? A state should be secular because there are many different faiths including atheism, and people do have a choice. God gave us choice and so should any nation in its constitution. Macron may be excused for being a little prejudiced towards secularism, but its a more democratic option than France (and Europe) throwing itself into the arms of Islamic control. There is no doubt that Islam has ambitions in the West. Beware of Islam for it portrays peace but is in fact a dictatorship waiting to happen. Working behind the scenes with growing influence in high places, it is patiently winning the hearts and minds of public against its Western leaders. It scores points by playing the victim and the Charlie Hebdo episode is a prime example. For decades Western satirists have mocked Jesus, Abraham, Moses and all things religious. Its the same old story of a total disdain of God. So now Jesus and Co are joined by Muhammad and suddenly its murder and mayhem. Is Islam so special that it should enjoy greater respect than the nation's own home religion ???

I learned in school that a “problem” in islam is the different “readings” of their text/law. (Maybe) a leader have one reading and the people have another. How big is this problem?

"admitting that ghettoization played a role"
At least one of those articles looked like it was disputing this claim with the line, "The most recent attacks were isolated, self-radicalized individuals. That has raised questions about the governmen's response.".
