    EU should stop lecturing others and fix its own house first. With youth unemployment rate 17.3% in the EU as per their official figure(definitely conservative – the reality is much higher close to 30%) the last thing they should be doing is trying to play world police. Let Belarusian ppl decide their country's future. And if that takes bloodshed that that is part of the unfortunate but inevitable process. Your sanctions have no teeth as Russia will not let their closest ally fall that easily. So stop the BS moral high grounding and focus on your citizen who are getting poorer everyday.

    The video doesn't mention many important FACTS:
    – Belorussia has no direct relations with Hamas. It could be missinformed by CIA, Mossad, Mi6 or else;
    – After 9/11 it is international practice to send military jets to control flights of hijacted planes;
    – Protasevich is accused for terrorism not due to his journalst but illegal millitary activity in the Ukraine.
    – no country closed its airports for Austrian Airlines or stopped flying over Austria and there were no sanctions imposed after the forced landing of "Snowdon" plane.
    ➡️ the Ryanair plane landing is a DELIBERATE OPERATION against Lukashenko and Belorussia.
    ➡️EU POLITICIANS ARE HYPOCRITES

  26. @Touhou-forever

    March 2, 2024 at 12:00 pm

    As a Irish person who uses both Ryanair and Aer Lingus I find any plane hijacking horrible and unsettling I'm not a fan of what Belarus and Austria did however, I personally think that the Lithuanian government should have told Belarus that Ryanair was very close to the capital of Lithuania and that the Belarusian government had no right to force Ryanair to change its destination.

    March 2, 2024 at 12:00 pm

    I think Russia's hypocrisy argument is pretty easily dismantled… The difference between the grounding of the plane Snowden was thought to be on, and the Ryan Air plane, is the underlying reason. It was both to apprehend a certain individual, yes, but Snowden is wanted for publicizing national secrets, which makes sense in terms of national security for any country, really. (regardless of opinions on Snowden's actions) Protasevich was wanted by Lukashenko because of politics… which only makes sense for the personal security of Lukashenko and his friends.

  30. @srbtlevse16

    Lukashenko is an old fool but Russia's also got a point.

  34. @vincentharling9548

    March 2, 2024 at 12:00 pm

    If u are gonna do a video like this be factually accurate! This journalist is not as innocent as u claim. He organized demos and riots in ukraine also. The reason why hes wanted in Belarus is because he published names and addresses of police and security officers in Belarus thus placing thier families at risk. And before you call me a commie supporter I'm a brit married to a Belarusian and I'm in and out of Minsk on a regular basis. Belarus ain't an easy place to live its restrictive but the people are good

  36. @Lemonz1989

    Typical Russia: "But what about [insert action of another country]?" without adressing the actual issue.

    I honestly don't care that Austria is a hypocrite; it's one of 27 member states. And now people are aware of the Austrian hypocrisy, so it's unlikely to happen again because of it.
    Also, it doesn't change the issue of what actually happened here, even if Austria is a hypocrite. It's like saying "I can murder whomever I want, because someone else murdered someone."

  37. @doogie1350

    March 2, 2024 at 12:00 pm

  45. @ironlionzion1380

    March 2, 2024 at 12:00 pm

    A true Captain of an aircraft protects his passengers at all costs. The Ryanair pilot should have firstly refused to be threatened to divert his flight just before landing, then he should have protested that his passengers are illegally questioned by the authorities (they have not legally crossed into Belarus while standing on the runway) and finally he should have adamantly stated that he doesn't intend to take off without ALL the passengers back on the plane. Instead this coward just took off and Ryanair didn't even mention the kidnapping initially. Boycott this cowardly air carrier.

  46. @Bangkokrover

    March 2, 2024 at 12:00 pm

    Protesavich is accused of terrorism, and inciting rioting etc. He’s been filmed in combat clothes whilst with the Neo Nazi Azov Batalion in Ukraine. He was in Athens to meet the US Ambassador there, the same person who was in Kiev in 2014, fomenting the coup against the elected Ukrainian government. The Ryanair flight he was on was made to land so the authorities arrested a terrorist suspect, whilst in their own airspace. Americans and British do the same. The only puzzle is, WTF was he on Ryanair?

Yesterday, Iceland held a referendum on restarting negotiations to rejoin the European Union, 13 years after negotiations were frozen. With the results now in, we’re taking a look at what happened and what it means for the future.

Our mission is to explain news and politics in an impartial, efficient, and accessible way, balancing import and interest while fostering independent thought.

TLDR is a completely independent & privately owned media company that’s not afraid to tackle the issues we think are most important. The channel is run by a small group of young people, with us hoping to pass on our enthusiasm for politics to other young people. We are primarily fan sourced with most of our funding coming from donations and ad revenue. No shady corporations, no one telling us what to say. We can’t wait to grow further and help more people get informed. Help support us by subscribing, engaging and sharing. Thanks!
