Over the weekend, Hungary’s President Viktor Orban was resoundingly re-elected winning a big majority in the country’s parliament. This poses a real challenge to the EU, who have been butting heads with the Orban for years now…

Fidesz were lieing about everything. When anyone said a sentence they would cut out a part of it so that it means something different and they would play it in the media over and over and over. Hungary isnt a democracy anymore. Its impossible to win here

As a Hungarian, I know the simple explanation for Fidesz's huge victories. The reason behind that is, that a lot of Fidesz voters critisize Fidesz as well. So in public, you hear much anti-Fidesz people, but a lot of them still votes for them. Why? The answer is really simple: because with Fidesz being like this, they are still the least bad of all parties. The opposition parties can't show a good alternative, to change the current government.
I'm also an example for that. While I actively critisize Fidesz, I'm still a Fidesz voter. Because they are still so much better than any opposition parties, and I would rather have Fidesz than any of the others that currently exist. And I know that a lot of Hungarians are like this too. So until Hungary's opposition is like this, there won't be a regime change here anytime soon

The Pro Orban business this is not really true. What you need to understand is that we have to rebuild our own entreprenour class. As the opposition, the ex communists privatised the country gaining massive wealth. And now they cry. But, the moment they got hold of Budapest, they immediately put their people in the director seats of all companies..

  16. @kingax4369

    March 3, 2024 at 12:14 am

Strangely, they won the 2010 elections in the old system, giving them 2/3 of the seats – it is not the system that helps Orban, but that he delivers

    March 3, 2024 at 12:14 am

The left always say it's not fair when they lose but will happily cheat to win lol the EU and the international soros backed left put together a 6 party coalition and they still lost and the opposition leader called the Hungarian people brainwashed lol maybe they just don't like lefty teachers telling their 5 year old kids to transition and giving them hormone blockers and teaching them to be ashamed of their heritage and their countries history and uncontrolled mass immigration

NO it wasn't an even playing filed. Information is mainly accessed on social media these .Facebook, YouTube and Twitter has banned conservative opinions over the last few years. It is overwhelmingly Neo Marxist just like this channel. The largest media outlets are owned by the left in Hungary, however the balance is not 95-5% like in the West, but rather 50-50%, hence ll this crying from the snowflakes.

Looks like America is restarting Radio Free Europe broadcasts into Hungary, which is the anti communist free news station that was broadcasted to countries behind the iron curtain. It’s a very sad state of affairs that Hungary is falling back under totalitarianism. Pray for Hungary and that they may see the light and come out on the other side and rejoin the European and Western community.

Guys, I really appreciate your work, you try to cover as much contemporary issues as you can. 🙂 have just seen this video. For the upcoming videos about Hungary, I advise you to use the correct pronunciation (for instance in the case of KDNP or Jobbik). I understand you are not natives but your intention is to make a good analysis about the topic. Correct pronunciation would be essential at this point.

It's the age old irony of "patriotism". The louder they shout about Hungarian interests and traditions the more they actually betray the country and its people.
