   Norway has renewable energy which can be stored for years, switched on and switched off for use within a second. I hope that relationship with Europe remains well such that all renewable energy can be shared (on sunny and windy days and on rainy and quiet days).

   The curse for the common people.. Price of petrol is now 10 USD per gallon in Norway, one of the richest countries in the world and a large producer and exporter of oil. The Norwegian people are suffering the very high prices, not only for the petrol and the twenty fold !! increase in the electricity price in one year, but for everything. People started to stop selling their houses, cause the technical documentation you are now required to obtain by new law for the sale of you home costs +20.000 USD. People cannot afford that, so housing market comes crashing down… And all the while the Norwegian government makes billions per month on the high oil prices and has 1,3 Trillion USD!!! in its oil fund… What a criminals these politicians..

    This aged like milk. I don't really know how things are going in Norway at the moment but in here in France, we elected a bankster and the country is bleeding. And we are likely to re-elect the same guy. If we don't, we might end up with an old racist, homophobic piece of garbage. I'm just waiting for a decent financial situation and professional opportunity to get out of there. Nordic countries seem to be the superior choice here. Luckily, immigrating from another European country is not that hard, especially if you're a skilled worker.

    Returning to this video, it is not so surprising that a minority coalition government was replaced by a minority coalition government. The politics of Norway is built in a way that it is not necessary better to stay in government than in opposition. A party involved in a government will need to make compromises to their government partners, as well as to potential parliamentarian allies. In addition to the government tearing, it might almost be better to stay in opposition. With all parliamentarian parties involved in parliamentarian committees, likely to get involved when a proposition or a representative proposal adressing that committee's area of expertice comes to the parliament, it is not necessary to enter government to have an impact. There is also no requirement for a government to be voted in favour by a parliamentarian majority, so a government can sit so long that the parliamentarian majority does not turn against them.

    All in all, it is understandable that an AP-SP government was formed without SV.

    I feel like since 2020 the moderate left has been on the rise in the west. First with Joe Biden in USA, then there was Jonas Gahr Støre in Norway my homeland. And shortly after that there was Olaf Scholz and the SPD in Germany. If this trend continues then I predict that in the french presidential election early next year Anne Hidalgo of the Socialist Party will start to rapidly rise in the polls and eventually win the election. Although i will clarify as a right wing national liberalist and member of the youth wing of the norwegian Progress Party(FpU) I do not like this trend however I will continue keeping a close eye on it.

    Not at all. Most left-of-center parties who are on the rise do so mostly by the virtue of having charismatic leadership. They are incredibly dependent on their figureheads in order to counter the persistent "the left ruins everything"-narrative by the populist right.

    That being said, left-of-center economics has indeed risen in popularity during the pandemic, but culture war crap still fuels most of the partisan leanings.

    I would say that Brexit has weakened (and continues to weaken with every rising crisis) the position of any anti-EU party in any part of Europe. People can see the warnings (not just the hyperbolic statements but the measured warning from experts) were accurate and leaving the EU would be disastrous.

    A key point I’d disagree with is that Labour lost in 2019 due to its socialist message, it lost because Boris lied and Brexit. Also in Germany the SDP are only rising because the CDU are nothing without Merkel and actually the SDP’s leader is more closely aligned with Merkel than her former party was (something TLDR itself pointed out).

    I always find it interesting that in the rest of the world, it’s the left that is known fir racking up debt.
    Here in Sweden, usually the right wing goes into debt to finance their lowering of taxes, and the left is known for paying back debt.

    Especially after the shet show, known as the US, don't blame the pandemic, the pandemic simply highlighted the flaws of our current state.

    People in the UK/US really have to learn what the word "socialist" mean, as it's being thrown at anything that's in the center or to the left. Social democratic parties are not socialist.
    Have you considered hiring EU citizens to your staff at TLDR? Perhaps someone from Scandinavia, The Netherlands, France or Germany? That would also make news even less biased, and more accurate. Although TLDR, probably is the most reliable, unbiased news source in the UK. But the EU channel, I feel only see things from 1 perspective.
