Dramatic footage: Train hits trailer truck stuck on tracks, ‘Holy smokes’! says witness

A tractor-trailer stuck on tracks in West Texas was struck by a train that dragged it a half-mile (kilometre) before coming to a stop.
The driver of the rig got out of the tractor minutes before the train hit on Wednesday morning in Midland.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Dramatic footage of the collision shows items on the flatbed trailer being tossed high into the air as the intersection is enveloped in a cloud of dirt.

In all seriousness, trains are dangerous to people and really anything in their way. When it comes to things like a car, the force would be enough to destroy anything in its path. Not to mention due to how long they are, even if they do see you, itโs already too late. Donโt screw with trains kids

When the drivers get their trailerย stuck on the tracks and it's apparent that they cannot get unstuck and THEN realize there is a train coming,ย at that point you gotta know it's too late.ย Why not pull the fifth wheel pin, dump the trailer and save the tractor? That way at least when the dust settles, your sorry ass has a ride outta that place.ย Don't worry about cranking down dolly legs, just pull the pin, and if any spare time, save the airlines and electrical cord, just pull out from under it.ย You aren't going to hurt the trailer any moreย by dropping it on its knees than the damage that's gonna be done when the loco plugs it. It's not about being stupid at that point, it's about saving what you can.ย Same thing when a trailer catches fire.ย Dump the trailerย and save the tractor.
