They startet this law at a time where micro usb was the “standard” now its usb c. The only thing that happened now is that innovation is stopping until the bureaucrats decide on something new

After Jobs, Apple is just a shadow. . Nothing innovative, nothing simple… basically benefiting from the ideas and mindset of what it used to be, not is.

Lightning is great! It’s half of why I switched to iOS.. it just holds up better Long term. I have lightning devices that date back to 2015, were charged daily for years and still feel great. I can’t say the same for usbC. Frankly it’s barely better than micro. Could lightning use an upgrade? I don’t care personally but sure.. do we need a one cable standard? Nah.. would it be nice? Sure. But C ain’t the one. Again, it’s a fragile, barely better than micro port. I don’t know why everyone is creaming themselves over it now.

The environment argument is dumb too.. do you really think a cable a year per person is going to be a significant cut in waste? Fucking really?
