Lightning is great! Itโs half of why I switched to iOS.. it just holds up better Long term. I have lightning devices that date back to 2015, were charged daily for years and still feel great. I canโt say the same for usbC. Frankly itโs barely better than micro. Could lightning use an upgrade? I donโt care personally but sure.. do we need a one cable standard? Nah.. would it be nice? Sure. But C ainโt the one. Again, itโs a fragile, barely better than micro port. I donโt know why everyone is creaming themselves over it now.
The environment argument is dumb too.. do you really think a cable a year per person is going to be a significant cut in waste? Fucking really?
