IT IS ALL IN THE TIMING OF THE TESTING. Not how many they test. If they tested for heamotocrit 10 minutes before the start of a race, and… within 10 minutes after the finish…
Carbon Monoxide emitters could detect changes in blood volume, and quarantining riders would keep them from injecting.

Pat McQuaid is an idiot. He doesn't really do antything against doping. How can he state that doping will go "completely" out of the sport? Even if the UCI would finally get involved in some serious anti-doping actions, there will never be a completely clan sport. What a hypocrite…

Pat McQuaid is right: cycling IS a beautiful sport – the MOST beautiful sport! Now, instead of being a considered a "dirty" sport, cycling has a chance to lead the way for all sports by becoming an example of weeding out their cheats and getting on with the racing. We all hate to see the "stars" kicked-out due to doping, but if they're doping then they aren't really the stars they claim to be. Champions should be made of the 3 eternal ingredients of character: blood, sweat, and tears.
