Last weekend the people of Greenland took to the polls to vote for their new leader. The results ended up flipping the status quo with the electorate selecting Egede’s Inuit Ataqatigiit and changing the political landscape in Greenland. In this video we discuss the results, if this could lead to independence from Denmark & the plans to block the controversial Kuannersuit mining project.

but isnt greenland being part of denmark what makes greenland a lovely country? its part of north america but yet its so european, if you take the european part(denmark) away from it its like germany without autobahn and bavarians, afterall thats all people only know about greenland as such cause its so ''danish'' but in north america, (even too it looks more swedish than danish to me) im not saying they cant have indenpenence but for me thats what makes greenland, greenland. if people think of denmark when they hear greenland thats not a bad thing, still better than what alot of americans think they hear germany with some austrian guy

In layman‘s terms this is the people who run the world conquering more of the world. Forcing the aboriginals of this land to be isolated. Told not to live farm or eat off of the lad that they’ve called home for 100s of years. The result? Poverty and depression….They don’t have to kill them anymore-they’re killing their selves. All of this done? Disguised by all the mess u just described

If they did start a mine then the eu and america can rely on them for car batteries produced by countries that respect human right and don’t violate them while being far better for the environment as currently the mining techniques to get them in other countries is terrible

Theyre dreaming. Like all independence movements theyre a dog chasing a car, and they wouldnt have a clue what to do if they actually caught it. Leaving Denmark means they'd lose the protection of the EU's armies, meaning they wouldnt have a prayer in the event someone decided they'd just take it for the resources. There arent enough people there to even put up a fight. And with the wealth in minerals there, that would be a certainty.

Well won’t Denmark look silly if they become independent and leave with all the stuff DK paid for and they didn’t sell it to Greenland to Trump. Denmark should threaten to sell them anytime they they bring up independence.

The US should have just annexed Greenland if the Danes wouldn't sell. I mean seriously who would stop us? Also the population is so small and it's directly impacting American national security and influence in the world. This would also help us secure artic sea lanes
