Not very original. When you look at the pole vault, you've seen it 100 times. Show us instead a jump of Mondo Duplantis beating a world record… or a really failed jump, with the pole breaking for example.
What happened? Seems like nothing went wrong but it didn't work out somehow. I've always wanted to pole vault because it looks so cool to do but it's basically nonexistent in my country lol
For those who've never pole vaulted, you literarlly have your life in your hands. You can sense when your momentum on the pole is not going to carry you into the pit (the mats), and that's when you have to make an adjustment – immediately – to your trajectory by doing what this German vaulter did. Vaulted 15 years of my life as a yute (Joe Pesci mode), and there were many such adjustments – most successful, some not. Any vaulter can tell you there close brushes with disaster.

Don’t feel bad for him Jarfar… you get 3 attempts….at every height….you can fail 66% of the time and still win the competition

I can't stand his look after the fall ,
His hard work of many days spoilt.
But I salute his presence of mind ,even after failure..
