Why do they act like it's only the decision of the club? If the contract runs out and the player wants to go, what are they supposed to do? Keep them prisoner?

Man city will be fight to stay up letting bronze go was a big mistake as Walsh was going to go too. Man city have shown they don't want to build a winning team and pay for the great player's

They didn't let Stanway go,her contract ended n she left….Walsh maybe u can say that,but it's difficult when a player is pushing for a move,what if u keep her n she plays terribly

Keira, Georgia and Caroline left because they wanted to play Champion’s League football. Manchester City having lost out 2nd place in WSL was not guaranteed a spot. And they ended up crashing out against Real Madrid, ironically enough via Caroline Weir’s brilliance.

Manchester City's was not anywhere near the best midfield in Europe.
That's why neophytes from Spain (2 year old Real Madrid) schooled them two years running.
The best midfield in Europe is at Barca.
These players have gone to improve themselves as midfield players because they know that you can't learn to play midfield in any kind of English league, male or female.

All I know is that selling any players to the European giants is not a great idea. I would rather my players retire mid season than join Barcelona
