   Sorry for a couple of errors in this video:
   – You guys are absolutely right that I made an animation mistake on this one, mixing up $ and € symbols
   – I also misspoke when recording the line "developing countries, especially in Africa, are desperate for credit"

   When it comes to bias and the use of sources. People are absolutely right that the title/content of the Economist article is provocative, and that's why we chose to feature that one over others in the video. We absolutely did use other sources, but the Economist's take is so different from their normal very neutral coverage (https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-economist/) that we thought it was worth examining why they made such a bold call on this instance. I'd also say it's disingenuous to claim that the Economist is being anti-EU because they're British. The Economist is certainly not an anti-EU pro-Brexit publication and I think even if you support the EU fully you should still be willing to critique them and examine the decisions they're making (especially when their budgets stretch into the hundreds of billions).

   Going forward we will be ensuring that the scriptwriters see the finished videos as often as possible, in an attempt to catch errors as this and we've also spoken to the writing team about the use of sources and ensuring the continuation of balanced coverage. We really appreciate your feedback and hope we can improve on the back of this – Jack

   We shall see what amazing infrastructure the the European Union builds for the world. I wish them the best but I doubt there will be any single amazing project.

   The money will all be spent on European consultants 5-star jet setting around the world, and helicopter to job sites. And the poor borrowing countries will have to pay the debts over decades.

   You have to remember that the EU is not an individual state but a sometimes more somtimes less loose association of states who pool some of their resources. They are slow in formulating a common policy on a topic, here foreign development. As a general rule it always starts with a lot of hot air and nice flowery language, but in time they will get somewhere…

   As a Mexican I'd rather have closer ties to Europe than China. We already have Audi factories and Germany's our fifth largest trade partner.
   As long as there are fair deals, this competition could be for the best.

    What do you mean "more"? That seems like a very biased brexitard title, that. No one says "brussels bullshit" except brits. Maybe you should realise how biased you are. maybe it's that brexit stuff from a couple years ago that made the UK "just another country" and the EU "a superpower without the UK" that might be shading your views a little? Hm? I suspect you might be a little bitter from the realisation of your own insignificance.

    While you cast doubt on a 300 billion "us dollar" european initiative, we might be casting doubt back at you for your… what. Local pub initiative? Maybe that "new space centre" up in scotland? You're a tiny little speck of a country criticising a superpower initiative, while we might just as well criticise your shitty regional 1-out-of-two-hundred-countries-level initiatives.     It's political who-ha, all PR with zero substance; however, if the EU were to set up an investment organization that would look into possible large scale infrastructure projects that would benefit EU countries and then member nations could combine their investments together and share the risk, this would be a good thing and could increase the EU's credit, thus creating money that the EU members would not usually have access to. Also, the USA should chip in as well in order to strengthen it's allies economically.

    This investment is not to straighten contact to China only. It's to straighten contact to all Asia, so I really think this is more than important now, as the world is changing economic pole from North America to Asia.

    It's a good idea, but the EU probably aren't the best to deliver it. If only the US could take their head out of the sand and start helping Africa. If the US could invest in South American Indian and African Industry, while increasing the foreign aid budgets, we could re focus global trade back towards the West, and phase out China as well as placing sanctions on them, essentially saying "join us or suffer" to China. If they opt to become less authoritarian, and abandon their wolf warrior diplomacy, we could allow them to re join the global market.

    In my opinion it is bullsh*t, Like super future cars with batteries than fuel, the super bullet train, the cool tunnels under the city, no. I mean, I'm not an expert, but when someone throws in eco I suggest cold, hard good evidence, hundreds of test on small, medium and large scale, studies and hundreds of thousands of professional tests. Presentations and everything so on.

    Please, add sceptic when someone is vague about anything big that would cost 300 billions!
    I mean, why not use it to by new technologies on roads, fix cracked paths, invest in garbage disposal technological ecological studies, in police and maybe in border sharpening, I mean Ik europe is safe, but do we want to have a weak border?

    I'm sure there are already many investments in this, but are they super profound?
    we still use coal, we still have huge debt, we still have problems inside the cities like homeless or garbage disposal problems, maybe invest in making the jobs that pick-up trash more profitable than it is?

    Anyway, I'm just commenting my thoughts. Sorry for not being aware of things that contradict what I said here.

    €300,000,000,000 for a new Global Gateway project. Have they consulted with the infrastructure expertise in Alexander Boris de Pfeffle Johnson or Trump?
    Alexander Boris de Pfeffle Johnson said a 28-mile bridge between Scotland and Ireland would cost between £15,000,000,000 and £20,000,000,000, but the Union Connectivity Review estimated the cost would be closer to £335,000,000,000!?
    Another pointless misdirection tactic from this failing English government.
    Wait till we find out how much this review for a 28-mile long bridge costs. The last Bridge he had any involvement in cost Londoners £46,000,000 for the review and contracts…
