The European Parliament has been debating the issue of migrants arriving by land – including the fate of a Syrian man allegedly killed by Greek soldiers.

22-year-old Mohammed al-Arab died in March after shots were fired from the Greek side of the border.

Home Affairs Commissioner Ilya Johansson made it clear that pushing migrants back from the borders was unacceptable.

What a waste of EU politicians' time to debate this! The 'refugee' was fleeing from Turkey, where he had already found refuge.

Refugees must be accepted by the NEIGHBOURING countries, and it is Turkey that has a border with Syria and not Greece. If the EEU insists on accepting the Syrians Turkey itself has displaced it should establish at least WHO are Syrians and it is the EEU that has to send the rest back. One more issue is that anyone in need to cross the borders must do so peacefully and not force his way in assisted by provocators. Instead of the pitiful people you showed , you should have allowed the europeans to see what happened in reality, and WHO was on the offensive.

"Very definition of a refugee"….living in Turkey for 5years !!! Nobody invited them over ,if these people want them in their country they can simply advise them to go apply in their respective embassies in Turkey.

I'm sorry, but you just said that he escaped to Turkey five years ago. Therefore, he was not fleeing a war zone. He was perfectly safe where he was. For heaven's sake, people go to Turkey for vacation!

They are discussing the 1 potential Syrian killed, whilst ignoring 2,400 Europeans killed since Merkel let them in.
